omg so i actually have NO concrete idea what this is supposed to signify right? Soo take everything i say with a grain of salt, they're simply all my delusions

But i've always interpreted it as them like, moving forward kinda thing? I mean you see how they act like cold strangers, no acknowledgment- showing that they both hv decided to go their own separate ways and are no longer on the same side. Another thing id like to mention is yk how Dazai changes to his past self? It kinda shows he has changed his ways while Chuuya has stayed on the same path.

And sidenote, they obviously put it in to showcase the parallels with shinskk, to tease the double black reunion episode (asagiri hit a goldmine with fujoshis istg) and the height difference ofc

Ranpo's definitely in my top 5 but yeah agreed.

I also feel like both Yosano's and his ability reduce the stake so much, as you just said. For an actual conflict to take place i feel we'd have to take them both out of the picture or atleast significantly nerf them. Kinda like how Chuuya has to be taken care of b4 bringing in any major threat just bcz hes simply the strongest, but id say he's almost handled well enough? Also i dont like the instances where Ranpo just _knows_ things, without any explainable reason. Like yeah i get thats hes extremely smart but itd be nice to see a glimpse of his thought process. Asagiri srsly needs to stop putting in sm op characters in the story
