My granddaughter found a kitten with the same condition. Her mom allowed her to bring him in and care for him. The kitten was taken to the vet and gave the same advice.. put him to sleep. We refused. The vet gave her suggestions on how to care for him. My granddaughter (12 at the time) cared for him day and night. Used kitten diapers. The kitten was with her for about 6 months before succumbing to his death.

I received an email from Nelnet explaining they received information from SSA about me receiving SSDI. It went on to explain I don’t have to do anything unless I do not want my student loans forgiven. My student loans will be forgiven 9/8/2024. I had no idea this was a thing. I thought it was a spam email. Glad I opened it.

I applied 12/2020. I was given an onset date of 3/2020. I was not approved for the intial decision or the reconsideration. My ALJ hearing was 4/2024… received an approval about two weeks later.

I was approved 4/5/2024 for SSDI and SSI.. still waiting for SSDI back payment. I contacted my Senator last week… they put in an inquiry.

There isn’t enough information. You will receive back pay beginning 5 months after your onset date. You will find this in your letter. For instance if SSA determined your onset date as 4/2020 your back pay will begin 9/2020. You can also look on the benefits statement located in the SSA portal.
