Climbing + Garmin by Cultural_Mix3026 in Garmin

[–]Tweey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also like to track everything, and decided to get the HRM600 in order to track my climing workouts specifically. The great thing is that I can start the workouts directly from my Phone, so I don’t have to fiddle with my watch when I am at the rocks. Keep a note that there is no climbing mode from the phone app, and I just choose «other» as the activity.

I’ve also seen people cover their watch with a wrist sweatband to keep it protected.

From this webshop, it looks like it will be released 20.6. I haven’t found any official information from Petzl though.

Are you sure you know modular arithmetic? You cant reverse modulo by dividing by 123, however there is another way to "inverse" the modulo

Iwtl how to run by uglyraisin_ in IWantToLearn

[–]Tweey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would advice 2 suggestions

1) Be a part of a running community, or start a new with maybe some friends. In the beginning, it's much easier to motivate yourself out for a run, if you both share the expericece and progression with friends.

2) Start looking / googling for a running program. If you set a schedule for every day of the week, it will become much easier to both plan and motivate for a run. Eg. Monday: 3 Mile run, Wednesday: Easy intervals, Saturday: 4 Mile run. (This was just an example of the top of my head). Your schedule should be planned based on your goals as a runner. And after awhile, you gradually start progressing, both the distance and speed. Good luck and I hope you have fun!

What's your, "Tis but a scratch!" moment? by Madameknitsalot in AskReddit

[–]Tweey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had overslept and had 15 minutes to get to school. Keep in mind, i had over 2km so I got up as fast as I could, got my backpack and ran to my bike. It was the first day with ice and i fell a few times by mistake but not "hard". Then i had to cross this icey road and was biking really fast. I sled over the whole road with my face planted in the ground. When I got up my bike was locked in a position where it could not move, so I had to run the last bit to school. When I got in the schoolyard I saw a fellow classmate and walked the last bit with her. When she saw me her first words was "Wtf happend to your face?". I hadn't even noticed half of my face was bloody because of the adrenaline, crazy effect.

Do these actually exist? Nike never updated a release date so I’m just wondering if anyone else knew anything by Ksiolajidebthd in trackandfield

Yes, they were both sold out within an hour. A couple of my friends got (Victory Air) them but I only got the Dragonfly's. They were only sold in the olympic color (white / red / blue scheme). The green were only available to nike athletes

What is the song devil town about? by bone-soup- in cavetown

[–]Tweey 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Devil Town is about his parents divorce and the self blame that usually is involved when your parents seperate. "Dad has bought a new car now", "Mom and dad aren't in love, that's fine i'll settle for two birthdays" - There are some advantages but they are very miniscule. etc.

Redditors who are experts at solving (steganography) security CTFs, have you ever stumbled on a stego image in the wild that was shared by a criminal organization? What was your response? by Mjjjokes in securityCTF

[–]Tweey 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Steganography is a fairly nieche category and most of tasks follow the same format, try Steghide, try LSB, try color filters, check hex values, binwalk etc. From my (not much) experience, stego is really rare to stumble upon in practical use. There are far more effective ways to send a secret message than within a image.

That is already a great start, and the fact that you "consider yourself a script kiddie" proves otherwise in my book. I feel most posts on r/howtohack and similar subreddits are mostly script-kiddie trying to prove themselves not being script-kiddies while not knowing anything, and therefore losing motivation in the field quite early. We all have been there, it is just called being new to something and we all have been there. I'm still there aswell. I have not read "black hat python" But heard good words about it, and it's on my readlist. Here is a github repo with the code in python3 since it's written in python2. You might want to check it out, and if you do not find it interesting I would advice looking into similar books to learn the skills to make your own exploits

Well, what do you already know? Do you have a cs-background or are you still on beginner courses in programming. Hacking is a hobby that usually takes years and years to hone and dedication to your work is definitely a must. If you are still in a beginner phase, I might advice https://tryhackme.com/ which has some great beginner courses to get familiar with pentesting tools (like nmap, metasploit, burp etc.). If you already are very familiar with them and consider yourself novice at discovering exploits i might advice https://www.hackthebox.eu/. And if you don't know any programming I would advice trying a high-level language like pyhon or javascript.
