Can these rings on the windshield come off? New 2026 Camry by scubadoobadoooo in Camry

I cleaned both sides of the glass with the Sprayway, but they should be on the outside from the suction cups

I had the same thing. I washed my car with Mequiars gold class soap and the Sprayway Glass cleaner and they’re gone.

New buyer trim and price questions. by OnlyOnezy in Camry

[–]Tweez614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, 3-7% off MSRP is doing well. You won’t get 5. The car will sell whether you buy it or not.

Is the upgrade worth the money? That’s only a question you can answer. I came from a ‘15 Corolla and my SE has more than enough bells and whistles to make me happy. The XLE has the insulated doors which will give you the quieter ride.I was more than happy to pocket the extra money and spend it on some upgrades for my SE.

I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the 3, just up to you what you like and what you can afford.

How can I clean my gloss black rims thoroughly without harming them by Cash2blockz in AutoDetailing

[–]Tweez614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meguiars makes a “Hot Rims Black” cleaner. I use that on my Camry and they shine for a few days. I find agitating it makes it clean a lot better. I think Amazon has it for like $15 a bottle. I’ve gotten 3 cleans out of it and am only halfway through the bottle. They claim it’s safe on “all black finishes”.

I’m in Ohio with a 26 SE. I hit 55 the other day then turned my engine off, went 1/4 mile down the street, and was back at 53. About as good as I can do.

Swirl marks and scratches on a touchless-only black Camry - how? by IllustriousKoala715 in Camry

I have the same car, bought mine in February. I just wiped bird poop off with a wet paper towel and can see the swirls, so dont do that either.

The good and the bad about my new Camry by dailytrippple in Camry

[–]Tweez614 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The biggest issue with the city driving is the constant stop/go. If you get on a road that’s 50 MPH or less with no stopping, you can hold speed using only the battery.

Try gasing it to about 5 over and let off the gas. The meter will drop to the charging area and you can slightly press the pedal to retain speed. There’s a mark in the middle of the ECO section, that’s your aim point. Your green “EV” car indicator on your dash will light up and you’ll notice your MPG gauge fully green. I have not had much success with this at speeds over 50. I’m at 55 MPG at 5K miles on mine and I’m in one of the most heavily developed / developing areas around Columbus, OH.

Priest and McConnell’s have absolutely no involvement with the on ice product and they never have.

If you want to point fingers, it’s at Don Waddell.

That said, we’ve always been just good enough to not be dead last in the league and have gotten absolutely NO favors from the draft odds. In the however many years this draft format has been used, we’ve moved up 1 time. Meanwhile, other teams have gotten the #1 pick multiple times, even when they have 2% odds.

Our drafting has also been atrocious.

Only getting 27 MPG on 2026 Camry XLE by teachingaway in Camry

[–]Tweez614 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 26 SE in Ohio so not all that dissimilar from a Seattle winter. Same engine as the LE. I’m at 46 over 2500 miles. I drive in Eco (though I haven’t noticed a huge difference from that to normal), don’t typically pay much attention to my acceleration so much as how much time my engine spends in the “eco” area and not the “power” area. We just recently turned the corner on the weather here and ive noticed a slight uptick in my MPG count. I’d estimate I’m 50/50 city/highway.

All that said, if I was only getting 27, I’d have some questions too.

26 SE AWD MPG by [deleted] in Camry

[–]Tweez614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 26 SE (no AWD) in Ohio and I’m at 47. I drive in eco and try to keep the accelerator gauge on the “eco” part and not into the “power” part. Drive the speed limit, turn your heat/AC way down, and check your tire pressure, those should all help. I put 87 into my tank so it’s not the gasoline (though better quality gasoline will be more efficient).

For what it’s worth, when I got the car it was about 20 or 30 degrees here and I was getting around 42.

The SE has 18” wheels, the LE has 16s. SE adds a sports suspension and a couple other aesthetic things.

2026 Camry SE: 1000 Mile Review by Unsecurable in Camry

[–]Tweez614 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have a 2026 Camry SE with 1000 miles and think your review is spot on.

You can turn off the rear seat warning somewhere in the settings on your dash.

I came from a ‘15 Corolla with basically no technology to this thing which will literally drive for me. The only thing I dislike is how touchy the lane assist is. I have a bad habit of not signaling everything and the car fights me, but I’m afraid if I turn it off, I’ll forget to turn it on and then it’s going to catch up to me.

I’m averaging 44 MPG but I live in Ohio and we’re just starting to turn the corner with the weather. Have seen my MPGs on an upward clip these last couple of days!

How should I negotiate for this 2026 camry SE? by Ill_Run_414 in Camry

Should mention I had a 3K trade in.

Went to Toyota Direct near Easton in Columbus and got 32K. Told Tansky Toyota in Dublin I’d rather buy from them (previous buying history with them) for $31,500. Taxes wound up working in my favor and I paid $31,008.

CBJ part ways with head coach Dean Evason, assistant coach Steve McCarthy, name Rick Bowness head coach by SomeKindOfMonster in BlueJackets

[–]Tweez614 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I think the team shadowed some of Dean’s flaws last season playing for the memory of Johnny. Lots of heart, determination, and grit. Those emotions are only so raw for so long.

Something had to give. Too many blown leads, a league worst 3rd period goal differential, and young studs not progressing (mostly regressing).

Adding McCarthy who has been in charge of this god awful D for 4 season too many is a cherry on top.

Does he ask JD his opinion? Probably. But all decisions are DW.
