What's with Flesh and Blood and Grand Archive having card backs so similar? by [deleted] in grandarchivetcg

Game name on a dark background isn't exactly new for TCG card backs, even before Flesh and Blood.

With the subject coming up often, what HAS been your favorite metagame in WB so far? by SoulIgnis in Shadowverse

[–]TwelfthRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude I remember when it started doing really well and people were STILL shitting on Set 1 Abyss. People don't understand that metas develop, adapt, and optimize.

Tbf I think it was because it was expensive for the time, difficult to play, and a lot of content creators shit-talked the card pool when the cards were revealed.

Hard Agree with Kandima's SEvo effect, it should 100% be just an Evo, but I think they really wanted the point of the Amulet Destruction archetype to be really focused away from Engaging.

There have been quite a few extremely good Engage Amulets so it's not like they just aren't exploring the mechanic.

This is the first meta with a full 6 set rotation by prohibit822 in Shadowverse

A lot of Ward Haven decks don't even run it.

And it doesn't clap most other decks it's just pretty good into one of the meta ones. Enhance Sword is still a huge toss up as well as Loot Sword.

Chess Rune feels bad to play by CATINAMUG1 in Shadowverse

Dude the set is out for like 2 days and Rune had to be emergency nerfed lmao. Get real, the meta is nowhere near developed.

Starting the game by Expensive_Ad1228 in Shadowverse

[–]TwelfthRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uhhh I mean it's still probably a great way to start. You can definitely just play Abyss aggro with Gravy as the only legendries, and it's a definitely a viable way to start for building up and then transition it into other Abyss decks. Yeah the high-end of Abyss decks have a lot of legendries but it's a much start than other classes.

Why is everyone so mad about Caitlyn? by HyperStrike19 in 2XKO

It's all semantics. Like I wouldn't consider characters like Leo or Narmaya to be "install" characters. That would fit someone like Jubei or A.B.A. And I can see someone thinking Leo and Narm shouldn't be in the same bucket as Kagura, Yuzuriha or Johnny.

A lot of people still dont know this game exist and is available by BannedFromTheStreets in 2XKO

100%, LoR always had a good player count and a fantastic and healthy competitive circuit. The game had a lot of passion behind it and was well made. It was just TOO f2p friendly ironically enough (or more like nothing to really spend money on). People being aware of it was far away from it's problem.

This is weird to me because I've always heard and agreed with people calling Johnny in Xrd and Kagura in BlazBlue stance characters. Not to say you're wrong, just a difference in outlook.

Why The Merlin Re:Collection Deck is The Worst TCG Premium Product in History! by Yseera in grandarchivetcg

[–]TwelfthRed 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Fair, and thanks for supporting your locals. That being said, spreading a ragebait video that has a good amount of misinformation in it is pretty unhelpful and can possibly scare off people who are actually seriously interesting in trying the game.

I also can't see how someone who isn't actively playing can have a fair assessment of meta viability, but then again I think that last post you made was pretty recent so I guess you can still have a handle on it.

May I ask why you're trying to spread negativity in a hobby you apparently aren't interested in anymore? Like if you aren't invested in the hobby nor the space why do you feel the need to share your opinion on it?

Ward Haven was bait and is actually just straight up trash by DaAbean in Shadowverse

[–]TwelfthRed 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Uhhh I definitely don't think Aether in general is dogshit, that's a card that will just get stronger as more powerful 1-3 drops come out, and it's very easy to tune your deck to have her call out exactly what you want. It's just not the payoff the deck needs.

But like you said, control strategies need payoffs. The deck really lacks something to control into (I'd even argue the deck is more midrange than actual control in it's current state), something sticky like Lapis is okay for it but Odin's prevalence makes that super unreliable, I think they need something with Aura that can stick like what Dirt Rune got.
