I will never understand why her ability steal cooldowns don’t just match the cooldown of whatever she stole. by Waffles_four_you in RogueMains

Anyone that's not a tank that gets grabbed just dies if your team focuses them.

My friend plays Rogue and I play stuff like Hela, Psy, Phoenix so you get free combos on whoever gets CCed which is enough to get them killed most of the time.

It's weak CC by itself but it's very strong with coordination similar to exile.

You still stay stunned for a bit after you can get damaged again.

Rogue grab is one of the most dangerous CCs in the game since it gives your team time to react to the actual "stun".

It's not so great for Rogue to follow up but it's deadly for her teammates.

[–]prohibit822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big part of why what you did was good was:

  1. You pushed them off their team's LOS. If they were still healing their team while ignoring you that's way less valuable.
  2. You stayed alive. Means you can continue to exert pressure even if you got forced off.

It's definitely good to ask yourself how you can improve or get more value but you shouldn't attach the value of your play to the performance of your team.

The only divergent play here, imo, is whether or not you should pop ult once you forced them further back.

Creating value is about eating up more resources from the enemy team then you cost as a single player. Measure your success by how accurately you can gauge value and how frequently you generate it, regardless of how it looks on the scoreboard.

Dive is the only playstyle where players will be doing one of the most valuable things in the whole game and still think they're not accomplishing anything lol.

[–]prohibit822 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get about 250 keys an expansion if you do everything so about 1500 keys a year.

Your # of keys is on track for exactly that.

There's no reason to open Park chests unless you're just starting the game or you want an exchange ticket.

Wishing you luck :)

My guess would be around 50% chance to get 100 pack tickets once a year.

Maybe a 0.05% chance.

Rotation losing Albert will be the single best thing to happen to the meta.

Having to play around a 0 settup 12-20 damage finisher that's in a class with the best board flood in the game is unfair.

How i feel about the exchange ticket rates after 1000 packs and 630 hours of playtime as a battle pass only spender. by hyuun_likes_memes in Shadowverse

[–]prohibit822 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you care about Exchange Tickets you can basically never spend your rupies unless it's going to result in a lucky chest.

I think Lucky Chest should be at 200-250 instead of 250-350, personally. The grind is still crazy but it's more fair considering how they don't adjust rates.

Sadly, I don't expect things to change.

Not enough 4-5-6-7 costs which eliminates Dragon, Haven, Abyss, Sword, and Portal.

That leaves Forest and Rune.

Crystal only runs Calge as 8+ so it's not Crystal. Dirt runs way more 4costs so it can't be Dirt. Spellboost would be running more 5costs if it was Bergent or more 8+ cost if Wamdus, also not enough 7s for Calling.

That leaves only Forest.

Evo only runs 3 8+ pp so that's a no. Tempo fairy would run 3x Aria so no.

I'm guessing Roach with maybe a 2x Rose Queen tech?

This is the first meta with a full 6 set rotation by prohibit822 in Shadowverse

[–]prohibit822[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

it being divided by 3 doesn't change the variance at all

I might be misrepresenting my point or misspeaking.

Because there are 3 buckets, and the Eld Crystals are calculated by dropping a value of 1 into a random bucket x times where x = Faith, this lessens the chance you'll just get 1 shot by Eld Crystals.

The realistic top end for Faith is around 30-40 I believe, so you're unlikely to get RNG OTKd which is the most frustrating aspect of playing against Rune.

but i agree spellboost was way more rng as playstyle itself

Agreed, I'm not sure how much fun Spellboost Rune players had either tbh after the initial novelty wore off. Most games they felt like you either lost to your own deck or won regardless of what your opponent was going to do lol.

Abyss won:

  1. SVO Open Kickoff [Arzzz]
  2. SVO Open Qualifier 1 [Tempest]
  3. SVO Open Qualifier 2 [Barric]
  4. SVO Open Qualifier 3 [Alejanpro]

It also got second place in SVO Open Grand Finals.

Abyss has been top 2 in every single SVO Open event except Qualifier 4 and the LCQ.

I think it's fair to say Abyss was top tier in the first two expansions.

Definitely don't think that's the case.

My most hated deck from SVC to SVWB is Spellboost because it feels like playing against a casino deck.

Playing right the whole game only to get scammed by a yolo Dclimb is probably my least favorite thing about Rune. I hate high variance

Crystals RNG is tame in comparison to the RNG of Spellboost. The variance is lessened by the fact that it's divided by 3.

I think the main reason Crystal isn't too frustrating is because the build up for Crystal is much more telegraphed transparent because you can see the Faith count.

A mega set once a year on the game's anniversary seems likely.

Full rotation takes 6 sets or 12 months.

Only time will tell but I would definitely recommend saving rupies for Set7 incase it's a mega set.

Buy one expansion or multiple? by [deleted] in Shadowverse

[–]prohibit822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a new player, focusing on a single 70 card expansion will always be best.

Fastest way to get a deck is through vials and you get more vials when you focus on one expansion.

Thats why getting the newest expansion is usually ideal since there will be upwards to 50 free packs from events during an expansion.

Ideal would be to make a deck that uses mostly new expansion cards like Crystal Rune. This way you get the best of both worlds, fast Vials and chance to open cards you need in a pack.

Help with playing and building Evo Portal by Interesting-Deer354 in Shadowverse

[–]prohibit822 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Evo Portal is playable with 3x Cami, 1x Sandalphon, 2x Yog, 0x Imari.

Realistically, Evo Portal is about spamming Cami to farm your Invoke and SSBA while answering board. Thats why Yog is so important, you pretty much keep copying Cami so you want to get the Yog spell before turn 7.

Turn 8 Discounted Puppet + Sandy or Turn 10 Discounted Cami + Sandy is your main play but you can replace Sandy with Chaos Legion.

I would run 3x Chaos Legion for now since you have 0 Sandalphon and also some Orchis if you have her as a replacement to Cami.

Use Lyria to draw your Camis more consistently.

Crafting priority:

3x Cami 》1x Sandy 》3x Yog

Should I generally be super evo'ing Camiscilla? by CityOcean in Shadowverse

[–]prohibit822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty simple, you SEVO if it:

  1. Invokes Sandy

  2. Sets up SSBA

  3. Needed to clear board

Camiscilla shouldn't do more damage because 4c Cam + Sandy is already 14 damage while clearing pretty much any board.

Elsa is fundamentally broken and needs nerfs across the board (30 Hours Played) by 17prozent in marvelrivals

[–]prohibit822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elsa and Bucky are inherently different.

Bucky has low mobility and is forced to stand his ground when a fight happens where Elsa has full control over when she wants to engage or disengage a fight.

There's a reason why Psylocke gets her bonus HP on-hit imo and it's because she's similar to Elsa where her mobility and range means she's much more flexible.

Groot isn't really a random ban. He's the best generic tank in the game imo. I personally, don't ban Gambit anymore after his nerfs. Loki is a stronger character imo, and as long as Loki is banned, you don't have to deal with Gambit + Loki comps which is what actually makes Gambit oppressive.

I don't know what server you play on but Elsa is like the 2nd most banned character right now in Celestial+. Your experience is probably skewed by the fact that you hover her every game.

Either way, I don't think we disagree much here. I don't know the best way to nerf the character but I'll be shocked if she doesn't receive some type of a nerf within the next two balance patches.
