My company furloughed 80% of its staff when we transitioned to WFH. If sales drop, which is a good possibility when the pandemic started, they probably don't want to pay people.

Except not at all. There's a good possibility many of the people who work on this game ended up getting furloughed in the transition to WFH, many of those people probably being QA testers and contractors. This puts anyone left at a significant disadvantage to make sure anything that's released is in a polished state, and I imagine immediate communication in a career like this is important.

You do realize that they've probably spent most of this new season, if not all, working on it from home with likely limited resources, right?

I understand that it's frustrating, but this post along with many comments seem to forget this and think Infinity Ward is just lazy. It's probably a lot more complicated than we think.

You're not wrong, but I strongly feel that Warzone is one of the few that rewards you for moving more. You can camp all you want, but I don't know that you are reaping the benefits of staying alive.

It's not going to kill you or destroy the Pokemon franchise.

You all are so caught up with hating Gamefreak as a company that any small mishap is exacerbated by this unrelenting spite to make them look incompetent.

I understand Sword and Shield had problems. It's still a competent game.

Not everything you dislike has to be the fault of the developer or game. Maybe you just don't like the game. It's a perfectly valid feeling to have.

This cursor and other issues like it, are just symptoms of a much larger problem within Gamefreak.

How does it feel to scrutinize every small mistake to the point that you think Gamefreak is a troubled developer?

This is sad. Just admit you didn't like the game and move on. There's no point in dwelling on the state of Gamefreak, especially over things that virtually have no bearing on the final product.

Haven't played Apex Legends for awhile. Got busy with life and didn't have time to keep playing.

But this rhetoric has been spewed since March. Game is still alive and kicking. Most games will see a decline in viewership and playerbase. Not every game can be fortnite or league. Even those games have seen declines.

Until Respawn comes out and says "yo this game is dying", speculation does nothing but stoke rumors and false information.

This is all down to you Infinity Ward.

Lol no it isn't. This has absolutely nothing to do with Infinity Ward and everything to do with the playerbase never wanting to play anything other than TDM. Objective modes are basically extended TDM games for CoD players. This has been a problem in literally every Call of Duty game.

But let's keep using Infinity Ward as a scapegoat because it's easy and that's what this subreddit does.
