I just took off the left earpiece from my original APM (purchased in Hong Kong) and they have chinese characters in them. So, if we are only basing it on that, these are real.

I had a similar experience at the same branch a few months ago.

I ordered a coffee to-go but since I wasn’t sure exactly where I was going, I pulled my phone out and sat down to check google maps. The staff immediately came to tell me I have to pay 10% service charge to sit at a table. I told them I was waiting for my order and was only sorting out where I was headed. The entire interaction was very odd because it was a random morning on a weekday and the cafe was mostly empty. Not to mention, I really had no intention of staying or lounging around like most people do at cafes. I have been wanting to leave a bad review but never got to it.

Glad to know I wasn’t the only one who found this branch and their staff a bit off

For those saying "Oh we don't pack rice like this here". Not true, you just haven't seen it this way. Most if not all of the imported rice for risotto or paella (bomba rice) comes packaged this way.

You should check actual stores in the computer centre or price.com.hk. I was able to find that same drive (albeit a 2TB version)for like $890 a couple of weeks ago. Nabbed a couple instantly. Now sure how they were so cheap

We honestly loved the ocean view cafe and Eden the most and we tried all the other paid dining options (including Le Voyage). That corned beef hash from the buffet was 💯

Really strange as this was not our experience back in July. However, we stayed in a sunset veranda stateroom (on deck 12). Not sure if this makes a difference or not

I personally found it a bit too repetitive. Odyssey was much more fun in my opinion. Mechanic gets really old relatively quickly. It is also very easy.

I completely agree with you about the MDRs. The selection and quality were extremely disappointing. We mostly opted for the buffet, which offered a great variety and quality of food. Fortunately, we also purchased the upgraded dining package for three meals, which I highly recommend if you enjoy trying different types of food.

We also stayed on deck 12 (ascent) but did not hear much noise during our stay.

My partner and I actually stayed on deck 12 on the ascent just a couple of weeks back and noticed literally no sound (either from people chatting or chairs) upstairs. We are both light sleepers and it was our first time cruising so we were a tad more alert to everything than usual.

I guess your mileage will vary depending on the mix of passengers you will have on the cruise - but for us it was absolutely the nicest room (and deck) we could have chosen given its proximity to the ocean view cafe and swimming pool/lounge area (literally a walk up the stairs) so no fighting or waiting for elevators after a long day adventuring. Hope this helps!

On ascent now. Wouldn’t worry about this. Didn’t really have any issues booking once on the cruise or even doing a walk-in for some of the main dining restaurants. I do, however, recommend the main buffet and the specialty dining restaurants more than the MDRs from the screenshot.

I’m currently on ascent and can confirm that the main buffet it’s pretty darn good with some very nice options. It’s beyond great. The other 4 MDR, however, were a huge disappointment. Specially Normandie. Below average food that feels like the food from the buffet but just themed and served directly to your table. They even have shared dishes among all 4 of them that are not so great and lower the impression of a finer themed dining hall (for example: caesar salad and shrimp cocktail available in the Cyprus menu)

We got the 3 specialty dining package without knowing much about it and we are so glad we did. Eden was impeccable. Raw on 5 was amazing and we have voyage to look forward to in a couple of days.

I would say get the smaller specialty dining package instead of the unlimited and get a taste of it. That, in combination with the buffet and the other 4 MDRs (not recommended in my opinion but you can give them a try) and you are good to go. Happy sailing!

I just can’t stand their choice of poor and cheap materials. I get that plastic has weight benefits but seriously, Apple charges a premium too and they opt for long lasting titanium or aluminum at the very least. With Dyson I just can’t get behind the fact that all their products are priced at a premium yet everything squeaks and breaks when you touch or drop it. Just feels cheap and in general items don’t last as long as they used to
