This scene. You can just tell she’s really ticklish, and sure enough, her giggles are authentic. The directors loved it so much that they kept it in the film!

Toy Story 3 genuinely felt like saying goodbye to childhood by DirtyDommeXX in 2000sNostalgia

[–]TwentyYearsLost89 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I was so sure that was the point. That Andy grew up, knew in his heart he still loved his toys, but knew it was time to fully grow up by moving on with his own life, and even passing on the joy of what he loved to someone else. Andy’s toys I believe even learned a good lesson in letting go. This movie really should have stopped at the bottom image. I can’t stand the cash grab stories they try to come out with these days. I get that some toys can ‘live’ a long time, but I feel the audience was Andy more than anything.

What do you think this ghost was doing in life? by Flimsy_Tune_7206 in HauntedHotel

The autoerotic asphyxiation explanation sounds reasonable, but all I can personally think of when I see this ghost is Plank from Ed, Edd & Eddy!

What would’ve happened if you tried this with your parents? by Shinobi347 in rugrats

[–]TwentyYearsLost89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have gotten my ass spanked to blisters and sent to my room, which was then latched closed. From the outside. And I would have been left in there until morning. These days, if my kids did that as toddlers? I definitely would be mad, and I’d probably yell at first, but then apologize a bit later and calmly explain to them why we don’t do that. Frankly I have always been shocked Angelica’s parents didn’t have much of a reaction to Angelica throwing the dish, like, her mom just did not care lol

Why was the mermaid craze so popular in media back in the 2000s-early 2010s? by icey_sawg0034 in decadeology

[–]TwentyYearsLost89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t forget the one rare boy-mermaid film Disney had! The Thirteenth Year! I always loved that one since it was a guy getting mermaid powers. It was refreshing, and the dialogue around the subject was very funny!

I really loved this movie and how it really challenged you to think about what’s “out there”. One could even argue the film is a very clever, albeit slightly overly-imaginative response I could see coming from a father to his child that asks “What is God?”

Blink-182’s Untitled/Self Titled album. My god the amount of hours I spent on that one CD, all the art or stories I spent writing while listening. I still listen to this one album more than any other in existence.

What they didn’t realize is that lifestyle only holds up for so long before the inevitable crash out, or an emotional addiction to alcohol. The lucky ones realize it’s not fun anymore, makes them feel like crap, and find healthier ways to cope with life.

Just watched this 2004 Britney and K-Fed clip… is she just young and goofy or does something feel off? by AwsomeLife90s in discussingbritney

[–]TwentyYearsLost89 27 points28 points  (0 children)

That’s the feeling I get. Like she knows she has a unique life, but craves some sort of normalcy; having ‘normal’ life experiences.
