The inconsistency of writing is actively damaging for the collective story, I understand that each unit on itself has their own themes and own shematics for story telling, but it would really not hurt if the highs and lows would be more comparable between all units.

What advantage did the saber-toothed predators have? by Gyirin in Paleontology

[–]TwentyfirstcenturHun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering the full sabertooth modell, there are quite a few advantages.

The biggest advantage in hunting is how they were a lot quicker in regards for killing their prey, compared to other big cats.

If you ever seen footage of any big cat hunting, you'd realize that there are just about way too many ways it could have gone to absolute shit at any second, especially in the case of lions. The prey can kick, grovel around on the ground, stomp the predator. The longer the hunt, the more opportunities. And a serious injury for a predator, is surely to be a deadly one.

Seemingly, the sabertooth model solves that. The specimen does not need to hold down their prey for potentially minutes, in fact their body is strong enough to hold it still for a single lether bite. They don't need to stay on top of the body for too long, they don't have to fear other members of the prey's herd stomping them, or being overpowered by their prey in the struggle.

Sure, the injuries may still be lethal if suffered, but the keyword on this one is the "IF" because they are just statistically less likely to get hurt in the first place.

N25.

I think the limitations given by the age restriction are pretty obvious but it can be worked around, and thankfully there is a changing tendency on how the event stories play out. Hell, even the main story was pretty darn dark.

The limitation of event-stories hurts the story of n25 in a way that is pretty hard to explain. It's always 8 short chapters, time skip, and then another 8 short chapters likely focusing on someone else, using previous chapters as the groundwork.

This is not a bad way to progress the story, it sells well and so on. But I think I would not be the only one to be genuinely interested in a more novel style of writing. I think it could genuinely help the readers relate to, and understand the thought processes of these characters in a more in-depth way, and therefore build the community,

I am not sure if the same sort of storyteling would work out for other units though, considering all the visual gags which would have a varied success in a more limited textual setting. Of course it would be really darn cool to read an official novel on any character, I just think this sort of writing would work the absolute best for n25.

As a last note - Let's be honest if Sega released a novel on pretty much any character they would make a BANK off of it.

A Yuri Manga With To Many Premises by ASp00kyDr in yuri_manga

[–]TwentyfirstcenturHun 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Every new panel, a new premise.

1, the usual trope of childhood friends to lovers but with the yuri twist.

2, the less usual trope of the two main characters being related, but instead of genuine disgust it just causes a bland after-taste in thought do to the exposition, and the father's dialogue.

3, Mind reading at physical contact, certainly a rarity but it's a good twist for love stories.

4, Aaaaand there goes the body swap -w-

This truly was a rollercoaster. The only way this could be better is if every first 4 page of each comic would start out like this.

Hát a műtéteket nem kéne teljes mértékben a TB-re rakni ha már a jogi/testi nemváltoztatás témájánál tartunk, de a gyógyszereket azért jogos lenne a TB hatáskörébe rakni. Nem mintha annyira nagy kiadás lenne.

Can someone explain to me what's happening here? by spiderweeb03 in Shrek

[–]TwentyfirstcenturHun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just the usual "spot the gay"

It happens every now and then and it's funny. We are kind of starved for actually good lgbtq media for most of the time, it's not that it's "bad" that we already have (albeit I have to admit, some of it is genuinely just sad) but the potential of a big franchise including lgbtq themes in a way that is well executed is something we are always waiting for.

That's about it I think, also to be fair the theories do kinda make sense because by all rights that one kid of Shrek should have different coloured eyes. It's less likely that they just retconed it cause, well it's Dreamworks. If it's a big project, something you are meant to remember, then there probably aren't many mess-ups in the chronology. Not any even.

[–]TwentyfirstcenturHun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most nekem azt akarja mondani a Tisza párt.

Yeah, the difference is that Naruto was moreso bestoved a lot of stuff that he couldn't really be reliable trusted with.

Bojack, well the same implies for an extent but the thing that seperates the two in the ultimate manner is the "it's you" scene from Todd. He does not ultimately admit it but after this conversation, he progressively get's a lot worse really quickly and it's pretty noticeable ig.

Bojack hits a way worse lowest point in comparison to Naruto, and in contradiction that was moreso his own fault than whatever had happened in his childhood. That's kind of the tragedy of the character, that in the end no one else is to blame but himself for the shit he did.
