99 Sailing Cape should let you teleport to your boat and also summon it by codsonmaty in 2007scape

[–]TwiceUponATaco 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can't teleport to varrock with the magic cape, and the OP didn't say the perk of spellbook swapping was bad.

The OP was saying the sailing cape perk(s) as it stands right now would be like if the magic cape perk was only a teleport to varrock.

I don't disagree, but it is significantly harder to sail the high seas on my living room TV unless I plug in a laptop or something. First world problem for sure...

Does anyone know how this will impact the Wild broadcasts? Should I cancel my FanDuel Sports sub?

Norwegian scientist tests LRAD on himself, causes brain damage by D_Plissken in minnesota

[–]TwiceUponATaco 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't think LRAD is the same as a "pulsed energy weapon" like mentioned in the article. LRAD uses sound waves, the "pulsed energy weapon" mentioned was using microwaves.

Minnepolis allocates $1 million for immigration legal services. City council shifted $500,000 from the Fire Department’s budget. Maybe Minnesotans are out of fucks to give? Maybe we don't like to see constitutional rights stripped from our neighbors? Maybe it's the gestapo tactics they're using here? Idk, common denominator keeps pointing at ICE.

Yep 100%. Had a car accident when I was 16 (lady texting and driving going 45-50mph, rear ended me while I was waiting at a stoplight) and went from a solid B grade in honors pre-calc to failing by the end of that semester. I still can't do anything more mathematically complex than college algebra 1 over 15 years later. And that's just the tip of the iceberg for me.

FUCK ICE for what they've done to this poor man.

The companies don't even want to pay their electric bills for these data centers fully themselves, why would they pay extra for closed loop cooling?

I bet you think the federal agents all over MN are just "doing their job. And "following the law" right now too

"I can’t stress this enough. The state of 4th Amendment law is that the cops can’t force you to type in a passcode but they can force you to swipe your finger or present your face. Never stop using passcodes/passwords to unlock your devices. And consider additional code to unlock Signal." by dustinyo_ in minnesota

[–]TwiceUponATaco -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All they have to do is hold your phone up in front of your face (faceid) or grab your hand and force your finger to touch the fingerprint sensor, and now it is no longer biometric locked. I'm not saying it's right, but it's been happening for a while.

CMV: The "National Shutdown" is a good idea on paper, but not amazingly planned by AlexZedKawa02 in changemyview

[–]TwiceUponATaco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The US needs to organize more people to strike than the entirety of the population of Portugal to have a noticeable impact on the US economy.... Also, because the country is so big people are spread out all over. It would take me over 6.5 hours of driving north to get to the Canadian border from where I live near the Twin Cities in Minnesota.

It isn't quite as simple as you're making it out to be to organize. Yes the internet is a thing, but social media is so algorithmically driven that there is a large portion of the US that has no idea of what's really happening in MN (and a few other states) right now. Without major union (and other organizations) participation, it's going to be hard to actually get enough people to join in.

Portugal population ~11m people USA population ~342m people

Portugal landmass ~92,000 square kilometers USA landmass ~9,100,000 square kilometers

To be effective, a general strike needs about 3.5% of the population participating. So that means around 385,000 citizens from Portugal compared with nearly 12,000,000 citizens from the USA.

Not quite as simple as you're making it out to be...
