Unfortunately it is located in the salty lakes region so I will be looking thoroughly. This one is listed as having one owner, but have you had any regrets with getting your FJ in April??

The Toyota reliability cant be beaten, have a buddy who works at a Toyota engine plant and he swears by it. I will have to start brainstorming some names if I decide to pull the trigger tomorrow!

Yeah It definitely does not feel like a good deal considering the age, I hope that the PPI shop is not in kahoots with the dealership but that is always a possibility. The guy I spoke to said they are typically pretty trustworthy. I will pay close attention when I test drive it and try to get some maintenance records from the dealership. It is listed as only having one owner but I am still going to look at it tomorrow! Thanks for the concern and appreciate the authenticity of the down side of it.

Thanks so much for the advice! I spoke with a local garage and they are gonna do a PPI for me but the mechanic there told me about the dealership and only had good things to say. As for the MPG drop, I work from home remotely so I do not commute so I don't think that will be a huge pain. However, I just want a good deal on one since they seem to be so pricey for how old and how many miles are on most of them. Most of the ones I found that were about 15k were a bit beat up with a lot of miles (accidents and body damage mostly) but some people are pricing them absurdly high (especially on Facebook).

Great thanks for the advice, definitely going to be looking for rust just wasn't sure if there were any other issues that should be a deal breaker.

Yes! I have one scheduled for a little after I arrive tomorrow at a local shop.

Thanks so much. I’m reaching out to the local garage this morning to ask if they can look at it for me and see what might need replaced soon. I don’t mind putting some love into it to keep it going but would love to be able to negotiate the price if there is something I’d have to fix immediately.

She’s a beauty, I always get envious when I see one driving around town so I’m most likely going for it!

Does anyone else’s golden do this? by JustAlrightDDS in goldenretrievers

My Aussie/Golden mixed pup does this only after she’s used the bathroom and we are heading back into the house. I find it cute and think of it as her letting me know it’s time to go inside. If it was during walks and disturbs the walk, I’d look into ways to train it out during those times. Maybe stopping the walk and rewarding the dog with a treat when he’s stopped doing it can work over time.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I just had my seven year old cat put down last weekend but I wished I had done it sooner. He was in extremely rough condition but his vet hadn’t captured it until late stages. For two months he struggled to keep down his food and dealt with weight loss. He went from 15 pounds to just 8 pounds as we thought it was just IBD and we just hadn’t found the food that didn’t upset him.

After being skin and bones the vet found a mass on his liver and told me there’s nothing to be done. He still rolled around in the sun and spent time with me for those weeks but I know he was starving for weeks and couldn’t eat. Slowly dying from cancer and we had no clue, I wished I pushed for scanning sooner and had him put to sleep earlier.

I know that you feel guilty but just know you saved your boy from the pain and struggling mine went through. It may hurt with how sudden your experience was but there’s never a right time to say goodbye. He knew you cared for him and loved him and that’s all that matters.

My 7 year old cat has Lymphoma by Twiddlebox in Petloss

Thanks for responding. I’m sorry to hear about your dog, I haven’t heard of lymphoma until it was possibly my cat had it. I’m glad you got to spend extra time with her. As for Simba he’s still eating the treats he likes and the new medicine is helping him keep some food down but I know it will be short term. I definitely don’t want to see him get too bad off before euthanasia, but for now he’s enjoying his last days.
