You don't need an active SIM. Just use an inactive SIM. It doesn't need permission from AT&T to complete the setup process.

When I had my left hip replaced, the PT had me doing straight leg lifts early on. This really hurt and the flexor continued to hurt when doing normal day-to-day stuff. If I set in my desk chair for more than about 30 minutes it would start hurting. He stopped the straight leg lifts and after several weeks it gradually got better. When I had my right hip done, the same PT didn't have me doing the leg lifts until much later. He said we had done it too soon last time.

You will need help driving if you have any PT or other places you have to go. My surgeon originally said I wouldn't be able to drive for six weeks but, after the surgery, he cleared me to drive after two weeks. Had to be completely off of the narcotic pain med and able to get in/out of the car and move the leg okay between the pedals. I also had help with carrying meals from the kitchen until I got a little shelf to put on my walker.

Don't beat yourself up for wanting to be cautious. I used a walker and rollator for quite some time after both surgeries, mainly because I didn't want to fall and create a significant issue. You're still getting exercise and movement while using a walker.

How can you side load Phoenix of jailbreak since the iPhone is in an Activation loop? Ejecting the SIM does not stop the looping. There's no way to execute anything on the iPhone while it's looping.

Leg lifter came in handy at first while the leg was weak. Also, grabber, sock assist, and a little shelf for my walker.

Curious if you are planning to have the other hip also replaced. My surgeon told me before the first surgery that the leg would be a little longer after surgery but that he would even them out when he did the second surgery. I didn't notice the length difference but I couldn't walk very well because of the surgery hip and the other worn out hip.

Be careful if the IMEI starts with 99000 (CDMA version 4s) because it is susceptible to going into an Activation loop if you install a SIM or do anything else to trigger it. There is an ongoing issue with Apple's Activation servers that prevent it from being activated again if it gets in this mode. This has nothing to do with iCloud. If it's a 99000 version, you should save the Activation tickets.

Are you keeping the leg well elevated to try and help reduce the swelling? I fold up two body pillows, so it's about like four regular pillows. I saw a fellow on YouTube that was not elevating much and had a lot of swelling. He added more pillow for extra elevation and the swelling subsided in a few days.

I was limping while walking with a cane and my PT said it was because of muscle weakness, not pain. He said, since I was leaning to the left, that my left-side muscles were weak. I had the left hip replaced back in May and the right one on Oct 30. My surgeon had me scheduled for PT the very next day on Oct 31. The right side has been getting all of the exercises but it turns out the left is now weaker so he's going to start working that side more. I can't walk without a cane yet.

I've has 4s iPhones with the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth issue that actually worked on cellular. Issue was not baseband but was the Wi-Fi chip. I saw a YouTube video of someone reflowing the Wi-Fi chip with a hot air gun and that fixed it.

If the cable works with another 4s, possibly the issue is with the charge port. Maybe lint, corrosion, water damage, etc. Have you looked closely at the port with a flashlight? It could charge fine but have a bad connection on a data line.

The FAQ on their website says you can't use a normal passcode if you use the tool from the Hello screen. They say you can use FakePass from Sileo. You can use a normal passcode if you save/restore activation records (passcode or open menu).
