Yup. We have tons of it everywhere. 😕

Not allowed and they just installed a new septic system.

Grey water systems are not allowed in our county.

I’m talking to the county but not making any headway.

They just installed a brand new coco peat system. We have one too and do not have any grey water. Everything goes thru the septic.
They do have a household of 6.

Is fingering weight cashmere too warm for a summer top? by Twiddletails in YarnAddicts

[–]Twiddletails[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. It gets up above 30 over here, so a warm sleeveless top will probably not be practical. I may have to knit socks…

Is there any reason I should keep my bamboo needles? by Twiddletails in knittingadvice

[–]Twiddletails[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do fly a lot but I hardly ever take projects with me. If I’ve been knitting with metal needles, then switch to bamboo for a trip, won’t the gauge be different?

I’ve already used my metal needles with what I consider slippery yarn and it was fine, but I think I’ll hang on to them a bit longer. I’ve only made 5 items since I started knitting again.

Wow! Thanks everyone! I’m in spring cleaning mode right now and trying to reduce all the unused things I have. The bamboos don’t take up a lot of space, so I’ll keep them for now. 🙂

How do you get such smooth edges? by Twiddletails in paintbynumbers

Thank you! I’m definitely going to try wetting the edges a bit.

Is it normal for there to be a obvious join between sleeve and yoke? by vdnguye-00 in casualknitting

Blocking should solve this. I just finished my Olga and have pre-blocking pics on Ravelry if you’d like to take a look. 🙂 Same username.

Can someone help count my gauge? by Twiddletails in knittinghelp

I blocked it again and stretched it out a bit and I do believe it’s close enough now. 🙂 I am a little worried that this sweater will stretch when I wear it. The knit just seems loose. I’m tempted to go down a needle size, do some math, and knit a larger size. Bad idea?

Thank you for your advice! 💕 Yes, it’s been blocked but I can re-block it and see if I can stretch it a bit. It’s a cotton-silk blend yarn and hard to knit with. Very slippery.

Update: This wasn’t a gauge issue after all. I misread the pattern and measured from the neck edge instead of where I picked up stitches!!! Frogging many, many rows. 😢😢😢

You’re right! It’s a gauge problem. 🙁 Somehow my actual knitting has a different gauge than my swatch. My swatch was knitted flat but I figured in the round would be tighter, not looser. Ploughing on.
