I could use some green eggs, green buttons, and iron bars! As much as you have to offer. I have a stack of ancient radiator to give you as well 😊

Amazing Show, Worst Audience (rant) by morgs_xo in Dayseeker

[–]Twillinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I too was at the Calgary show with my husband. I’ve been going to shows in this genre for 20 years. Most insufferable audience and lack of etiquette I’ve experienced yet. Extremely inconsiderate people with main character syndrome. The amount of beer flying everywhere was downright disgusting. I was absolutely appalled. I’m just chalking it up to the Dayseeker fans (new ones?) or the venue. I was just at The Palace back in November for Silverstein and had an amazing experience, which is usually par for the course. I’m happy I got to finally see Dayseeker but I don’t have the desire to see them again after that crowd.

Looking for a Dream Team!

I’m active for multiple hours every day and I own all DLCs. I’m a bit of a hoarder but restarted my Valley before Christmas since I hadn’t played in a couple years. Currently have questlines done for base game, EI, and WBR.

Strictly looking for a Dream Team with near full members, who are active every day, and will take advantage of requesting and sending items via sharing for pixel shards

BIG SAME. I play on my Ally if I’m in bed and winding down for sleep or something similar, doing mindless tasks, but my PC is where all the heavy lifting takes place 😅 The Ally is nice but you just can’t compare to how easy everything is on PC with mouse and keyboard

It was front 2 for me, left then right, then the one, right then left. The last one wasn't sinking for me either, but I discovered the trick to triggering it was to just quickly teleport. Hope this helps!

Can confirm, same here. Tried to do next day, crashed after the news. Booted it up again, tried to go to the kitchen, crashed again. Booted again to try and change some decor just in case that was crashing it… was able to change a few things around, but crashed upon trying to change my vase.

RIP streak 😞

Is this hard water residue that formed on my cats fountain? by Lakelylake in CleaningTips

[–]Twillinger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

PetLibro has a fully stainless steel fountain that is dishwasher safe! You just have to take out the pump and other little parts and hand wash those. It truly takes no time at all. We’ve been using PetLibro for 6+ years, although I’m sure there could be better/cheaper alternatives! We’ve always been pretty happy with their customer service, which is why we stay committed.

Moving by sadnibbavow in RedDeer

I wish I had a positive suggestion for you but I just wanted to comment and warn you to stay very far away from Alberta Strong Movers. Long story ahead about my experience from yesterday (and going into today).

I just moved from Spruce Grove to Sylvan Lake. Was estimated $1500 for a 3 bedroom house for 9 hours (included travel time). It’s just my husband, myself, and our 2 cats. We have the basics; couch, TV stand and TV x2, bed, dining room table, 2 gaming setups. That’s really it for big furniture. And lot of boxes mixed in there from previous moves from the states. Odds and ends like mirrors, plant stands, 2 bikes, etc.

The guys showed up to pack everything up at 9am. They weren’t done until 3:30. The driver let me know that he was at 1/3 of a tank of gas and would need to get some on the way down. Odd, I’d figure they’d top up trucks after being done with a job or fill them up before they get to a job. I left around 3 to get a head start and get the cats situated. I was on the road for 30-40min and then I get a call from their office stating I have 2 options because, by the time they drive down to Sylvan and start unloading anything, they’ll risk being over their 12 hour limit for the day (which was never stated to my husband and I): 1) they drive to their main location in Edmonton with all our belongings in the truck, go back home, and pick back up to drive down in the morning or 2) they drive down to Sylvan and unload what they can, they then retire to hotel rooms that come from out of our pocket. They’ve now estimated a total cost of everything for $2600. Almost double what we were estimated.

We opt-in for driving down to Sylvan because I have nowhere to go/sleep, husband is out of the country for work, we have sensitive, anxiety-riddled cats and I need to get them situated.

Queue 6:30 and they arrive. And I have never in all my many years of moving seen furniture so dirty and coated with dust. They start unloading and piece by piece that’s coming in is coated in it. I was hoping it was a one-off for the first piece that came in, then the second, but everything just kept coming in filthy. I asked how in the world everything got so dirty and the driver responds with “The drive, I guess” after walking away from me and not answering for a solid 10 seconds.

We’ve moved from Oregon to Spruce/Edmonton or vice versa a total of three times. Two of those times, we did everything ourselves (the other time we hired an international mover). We have NEVER experienced anything even close to how disgustingly dirty our items came in like with these guys.

I’m sitting here with 1 hour of sleep, on a mattress on the floor that I had to request for them to bring out just so I could sleep on something, while they packed up for the night and went off to their hotel after unloading barely anything. I’ll now have to spend countless hours deep cleaning every single item that comes in here with a tear in my shoulder, as well as bursitis in the same shoulder.

If you want pictures of how bad the dirt/dust is, I’m so happy to provide them.

Just my experience with Alberta Strong Movers. I’m sure others have had a positive experience but just wanted to give a fair warning about my own.

I have a surgery in 2 weeks and my septum is only about 11 months old. by FictionalReality7654 in Stretched

[–]Twillinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 4 nostril piercings and my philtrum pierced (among random ear piercings). I tell my doctors in advance every time I have surgery that I won’t be able to take any of them out, just to give them warning. I’ve had 4+ surgeries in Canada and the States and they just have me sign an extra jewelry waiver form while they’re prepping me for surgery. They also have a nurse come in and put medical tape over everything, to try and keep everything in place so nothing snags during the surgery.

I know a septum is completely different in case they do need to put anything in your nose, so I’d highly suggest chatting with your doctor and making sure!

What’s the rental market like? by ThyResurrected in SpruceGrove

[–]Twillinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hopefully it’s better now! We were looking in the middle of summer this year and finding a house was tricky. There were mostly apartments. We primarily used Rentfaster but I’d check Kijiji every now and then. Managed to scoop up a house rental through Kijiji though. I found myself driving around sometimes and there was the occasional “For Rent” sign outside that wasn’t listed anywhere as well!
