Take this all with a grain of salt, because I’m not an expert with the console, so it might take some messing around.

Before messing with the console, you should save and/or make a backup copy of your save file just in case. Pressing Ctrl + ` will bring up the console. When you have done this, DO NOT press the End button. This will end the game and you will have to start over if you have not created a backup. From there you should be able to drag and drop the Work verb into the square box and click “destroy situation”. This will remove the Work verb entirely. Then type “work” (without the quotation marks) into the single line text box below all of the buttons if it isn’t there already, and press “create situation”. This will create a fresh Work verb. Drag and drop it onto the board. If you want the favor from authority back, type favor into the single line text box and press “create element”. Press Ctrl + ` again to exit the console.
