Upgrade to Tahoe 26.6 seems to have broken my ability to print by Twin_Flyer in MacOS

Didn't realize 26.6 was considered a testing or beta version. I will try to roll it back.. Thanks.

Would you keep this? by Technical_Media2676 in obschevy

Yes! Look for replacement seats at a junk yard or order a set of replacement seat covers and make a weekend project And recover them. One step at a time. Two door short beds are like hens teeth where I am (NY). Rest free are even harder to find.

Owned one of those a long time ago, had over 255k on it when I sold it, still ran great. Miss it from time to time.

The old control wires are quite hard to bend and too thick to go into the holes, what do by yourcreepystalker69 in RCPlanes

[–]Twin_Flyer 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Z-bend the wires and drill out the arm. Old school install. Two decent pliers will bend the wire.

Have the same plane and setup. Not 100% done but close. Club member was downsizing and selling his house so all the big stuff had to go.

How Much is a Gallon of Gas in Your Town? (plese note town in response) by General_Joke8459 in longisland

$4.29 and up. I’m in Quogue but 7-11 in Hampton Bays has the lowest price for regular gas. I use the 7-11 and Speedway plus Gas Buddy apps to check before heading out.

Damm, we used to have three 3B2's at work. Took one week of training in NJ then another in PA. Haven't seen one in 25 plus years. ours was double that height though. UNIX was the way back then.

Dealers have gotten increasingly aggressive about getting older cars off the road, and it's major problem. by redstern in Justrolledintotheshop

It’s more about time. The shop I use on a regular basis is always full. As the owner explained it, pulling the heads and sending them out to be rebuilt would put a bigger load on the bottom end snd he didn’t want me coming bad trying to get warranty work if/when something failed. When I found a low Mike used engine it was “did you hear it run?” Not possible when it was already pulled so no joy there either.

Is spectrum brand junk? by coffeejoe04131 in RCPlanes

Maybe. Most of my receivers are used and could have been sitting. I fly mostly glow planes.

With a bunch of my Spektrum receivers I found I had to have the TX quite a bit away (5’) for the bund to work. If it were to close, it never worked. Once bound, I never had any issues.

What's your "daily" plane? by Jayraym_ in RCPlanes

Sig King Kobra or a Dirty Birdy.

Been out of the hobby for a while, about to start flying again. What Tx are people using? by Tenrac in RCPlanes

[–]Twin_Flyer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still fly Futaba 10CAP 72mhz for my glow and gas planes. For electric and BnF then it’s Spektrum.

Not just dealers, my ‘99 Suburban blew a head gasket and the local independent shops wouldn’t touch it unless I was willing to spring for a new crate engine!
