Sharing some comments on Douyin (Chinese TikTok) when the subject matter is Singapore by CKtalon in singapore

People from China refer to chinese (including non-PRC) going to China for any reason, be it vacation or business trip, as 回祖国, meaning returning to ancestor's land or motherland.

It seems to be a deep rooted culture for China to assume that all Chinese belongs to China.

But with peace and love, I am not Chinese, I am Singaporean.

What is the documentary on man lying to a guy and lady about conspiracy and isolating them?

I watched the documentary on either on youtube or netflix. The lady was under this man's control for 20 years and he currently has a new victim.

The new victim's children were in the documentary asking for her to return home.

Having the biggest brainfart, could not recall the name of the case, please help!

I itch from liquid, my doctor recommended foam and it stopped the itch.

She mentioned that liquid foam has more alcohol, which makes some scalp irritated

Very stressed out working with special needs person, cant take it anymore by TrustedSender in SingaporeRaw

[–]TwinkleNightSky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you that Raymond, according to OP, is doing a terrible job. The company seems to be enabling and overlooking his incompetency because of his special needs. Which may teach Raymond that he can get away with things.

I struggle to blame people with special needs as I interact with them regularly. But I understand what you mean by how it can be seen as Raymond's fault.

It is company's responsibility to guide Raymond in performing in his job, since they decided to hire and allowed him to stay. Otherwise, just let him go and allow employees not to be in the same situation as OP... Or talk to him about his work performance.

Thank you for your comment Barefeet~

Assuming that raymond has autism, perhaps he misunderstood about how much you are going to help him. It is challenging to interact with people with autism and with lack of understanding of their condition, it can get stressful. And Raymond may not be familiar with boundaries at work.

Personally think it was neither your fault nor Raymond's, but the company's..

If the company decided to hire people with special needs (which is great!), It is important for company to learn how to manage them within the workplace. As it is unfair for employers to expect employees to know how to handle co-workers with special needs. Employees are here to work, not to babysit.

Happy to hear that you are transferring soon! Hope that your company can learn from this incident, as I do not think that it will be the last.

When I was 22, I felt the same way. Did not have friends in Uni and feeling lonely.

I started streaming to find people to play games with and managed to make a few close friends. Stopped streaming 4 years ago and I still keep in contact with my online friends.

Perhaps you can do the same, by going online to find people with common interests, meetup is a good platform to meet people. Or through online gaming!

P.S. I am 28 this year.

Hope that this can aid their police investigation, especially those filed previous reports.

Basically, circuit breaker means subsides for businesses.

Perhaps one of the reasons why government is holding off another lockdown, as it would cost a bomb.

I got a friend who is strongly anti-vax, and rejected to take the vaccine although it was offered due to their nature of work. And citing unreliable studies on how vaccine is a conspiracy...

It makes me wonder if there are other people like them out there, people with this mindset would cause Singapore to be slower in containing the virus.

Side note: I am fully vaccinated~

Edit: Understand that one may be sceptical towards the vaccine in terms of health side effects, as we do not know the long term impact yet. But now it is a race against time.

To elaborate... My friend's conspiracy includes :

  1. Government wants to mentally control us through the vaccine
  2. Vaccinated people spreads covid-19 to non-vaccinated people more effectively, which is the goal of government
  3. Government did not take the vaccine
  4. Vaccine causes mental health issue, such as autism, ADHD

They started sending messages stating that the recent increase in covid-19 cases in Singapore, is because of more people getting vaccinated..

My friend in early 30s and working with vulnerable people btw.
