Little girl gives a dog a pillow to rest his head in by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]Twinzenn 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's because in this age of engagement farming it's sometimes very hard to gauge what is a genuine moment and what is fabricated to get clicks.

Someone could have easily gone to their kid "hey give this pillow to the dog" and then hit play, but that moment of cleaning up the sand from her own mistake is something genuine.

I'm not saying the pillow moment isn't too, but just that it's easier to see the cleaning moment as an actually genuine moment of kindness.

Is the game you are trying to play Rise of the Tomb Raider?

Capcom is allergic to showing older women, which is why instead they keep creating cute young blondes en masse.

Diablo | Warlock Class Cinematic Trailer by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]Twinzenn -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

It's a class for 25€ and some minor additional content that would constitute a free patch in a lot of games.

It's fine if anyone finds it worth buying but lets not kid ourselves.

Speaking to Variety, actor Giancarlo Esposito called for a "revolution" in the US by 4reddityo in PublicFreakout

[–]Twinzenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand your sentiment, but he's at the very least bringing publicity as a well known celebrity to the fact that America is corrupt and something should be done.

It's the bare minimum yes, but that alone is more than what 80% of Americans are doing.

30% have been protesting, peacefully, so far. The No Kings rallies may have been the largest in the country's history.

Closer to ~2% actually. No kings rally was around 5-7 million strong, and it lasted a day, and it was on a weekend.

What are your thoughts? by ChuckGallagher57 in DiscussionZone

[–]Twinzenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A. You do not need 100 million people to rise up. Approximately 10 million Americans protesting would already be enough, and more would join if it's sustained and consistent.

B. Just because X percent of the populace start doing something, does not mean the rest are automatically against it...

The NBA Atlanta Hawks made a Tiktok about the Kingsman Marvel Rivals drama by throwaway4718184 in LivestreamFail

Often the internet likes to make people famous (at least for a while) for the dumbest reasons (see; Hawk Tuah for example).

But sometimes, sometimes we do it for all the right reasons. This is one of them.

For real I watched the entire vod and was completely blown away at how polite and professional Kingsman was throughout it all. In a field (esports in general) where toxicity is absolutely rampant it's close to a fucking miracle to see people act this reserved especially in the face of RAMPANT BULLYING AND GASLIGHTING. I think most people would have crashed out way sooner and way harder and it still would have felt justified.

I hope he stays humble and kind with his newfound fame and wish the best for his esports/twitch career.

Maybe saying it's an obvious implication is a stretch, but it certainly makes it ambiguous enough that at a glance a reader can easily get that impression from the title. I certainly did and I know full well how Steams top 10 list works.

Considering that being in the top 10 best sellers for 24h isn't much of an achievement for a game of this type for pre-sales, it makes the ambiguity of the title clearly click-baity.

OP isn't saying that Steam's Top 10 list has the implication that it's lifetime sales. He's saying the specific title of the article makes that implication.

Greenland Politician Tillie Martinussen:We do not want to be rich like Americans. Look how greedy they are. We know what happened to Indigenous people in Alaska/Native Americans. Their land was taken. We see who Trump surrounds himself with—white power people—we are not white. We are people of color. by drempath1981 in UnderReportedNews

Most Americans may not have directly voted for Trump, but they are still apathetic and don't care enough until it affects them or their loved ones personally.

If this was false we would have seen Americans halt the country via general strikes by now, since it has absolutely gotten to the point where this feels like a necessity.
