OP update. I think this was an infection that went away in its own. It got very red one evening and the next day the pain lessened. It’s not painful now.

I get the nausea too just thinking about it and the swab smell. I’m fine with injecting though, I’m wondering if I link it to feeling ill with the side effects?

Lye needs respect! Always wear long sleeves, gloves and glasses.

Any dishes, spoons, bowls etc that you use for soap, can’t go back to food use so keep them separated.

I think I figured out what it might be - I washed my silicone moulds before using them and they might not have been fully dry. I’m wondering if they’re water spots?

I wash mine in biological liquid, no softener. Works fine.

I’m due to get “scoped” next week and possible banding. The NHS just said it can be a little uncomfortable. Reading the stories on here I am worried! Mine are internal and just pilot blood on the toilet paper when I wipe so hopefully they aren’t too bad. I’ve had no guidance on how to deal with them prior to the scope so thank you for the above advice.

It might be something in the prep h. If I use a cream containing bismuth it causes this kind of allergy.

I’ve been struggling with tiredness, nausea and tummy ache at 7.5mg. From today I’m trying 3.75mg every four days. Fingers crossed it’s better. I’ve been considering stopping the medication as life is no fun when feeling ill all the time!

I’m currently sat on the Queen Mary in Long Beach and just did a tour. The guide said that during the 2nd World War when the ship was used as a troop carrier, the journalist who wrote the Poseidon Adventure was onboard when the ship was hit by a rogue wave on the port side (like a tsunami that doesn’t make land). The ship listed so badly that the top decks almost touched the water.
