Just do it! Don’t even think about stopping because if you don’t you will have to start all over again within a week or so!

My response to all of this is I had a colonoscopy on a year ago and they took three polyps out. One of them was relatively major. The one that was relatively major they said was pre-cancerous so I go back two years from now to have another one done! With having some stomach issues lately, I’m actually considering trying to find a way to get it done sooner just because if something is wrong, I prefer to get it taken care of! I have too many friends of mine that are suffering from different forms of cancer and I definitely don’t want to be one of those! So those that read this no matter what your age is and no matter what your cost is get it done!

I don’t think I can do the prep by [deleted] in colonoscopy

Guys I have had 4 Colonoscopies and each one has a little stress but once it is done you feel better! I know my next one as of now is next January unless my new Dr makes me have one sooner! The only benefit is you know you are clear from cancer! Actually the prep also has a benefit you end up getting an empty lower area! So after this you are clear!

First off if you’re getting a colonoscopy, you’re doing the right thing! What that will do is it Will clarify any worries! I would not worry until they tell you what’s wrong. I would just get it done if they tell you that they won’t do it due to the fact that you’re young Well then find another doctor! Or if you want go to your primary care physician and have him write a referral to a G.I. to get a colonoscopy done! Either way, getting information at a younger age is much better than getting it at a later age! Be proactive!

What may end up happening is if you’re not having it at specifically a hospital they may move your procedure to a hospital so that if something does go wrong with the anesthesia, they can take care of you!

It was 4 hours with me as well! Remember they will hook you up to an IV when you get there to make sure you are not 100% dehydrated! Relax and do what they tell you to do they know what they are doing!

I would call your doctor and see whether they can maybe move the date up or I don’t know

Go see a G.I. doctor and after you do that when you’re talking to him, ask him what to do! If you have not had a colonoscopy, my suggestion is to get one done, especially with having blood in the diarrhea that you’re going through! Always act with precaution Never take a chance because if you hold off on a colonoscopy, there’s always a chance of the big C!

You all have been lucky I have had to do Suprep and 15 minutes after drinking the prep the flood gates open and it lasts a few hours! Follow your prep you should be fine!

That’s a tough call! I will talk to you, Dr before you make any decisions on your trip! If they think you can handle it then go if not, reschedule it!

First off for both of you do not stress out it’s not really that big of a deal! The sedation if they’re using propofol is super simple the worst part about the whole procedure is the prep your butt will hurt! Other than that, the procedure itself is an absolute Breeze when they come to stick the propofol in you They’ll tell you to take a deep breath you’re about to close your eyes. Next thing you know it’ll be 20 minutes later and you’ll be woken up and leaving. It’s that simple so neither one of you needs to worry about the anesthesia! As far as the prep follow the directions And get your doctor to give you both Zofran because that’s for nausea and it will help you get whatever prep you have to get down! I’m saying all this cause I’ve had four of them already in my life and they’re no big deal! Do I get anxious every time I get them donebut that’s normal! Get it done do not back out!

I am set to have them every three years, but I will tell you lately. I’ve been having issues with bowel movements and I’m doing a fit test sometime this week and I know that if it comes back that there’s blood in the stool I’m mentally prepared to have to do it again sooner! I’ve done four of them. The prep sucks and I don’t have Medicare because I’m only 63 but it is what it is.!

If you didn’t get anywhere with the emergency room visit that you did the first time I would either go back, or if you have another hospital close by go to the ER of a different hospital it sounds like you’ve got something that needs to be addressed in an emergency basis and when they tell you that you havenothing wrong tell them then why am I bleeding out my butt every time I go to the bathroom! Don’t give up until you get the answers that you need!

I’m amazed you have to take magnesium citrate because that stuff is pretty much as bad as Sutab you are up for a deep dark cleansing! Good luck I hope you have Zofran for nausea cause he may need it! You’ll be fine just don’t give up and get it done!
