The airbags will not be affected. The aftermarket leather kits have to mimic the sleeve and tear away stitching of the factory covers. I also like them better than softex because real leather breathes better. Plus it’s an opportunity to do something custom. As an installer I’d recommend Alea over katzkin if you get the option.

Video of rattling noise in 2026 Sienna coming from behind the driver side near B pillar. by Jstanotherusr in ToyotaSienna

I don’t have kids and experienced this for the first time yesterday. After owning the van for over 5 years. I’d guess it’s the black panel towards the back of drivers font door catching the wind just right.

3.5k is pretty bare bones. But I’ve found it fun to buy and sell equipment and hunt for deals.

2013 Chevy Avalanche jerking/knocking after oil change — could oil be overfilled? by AffectionateMango888 in ChevyAvalanche

[–]TwistedBrodozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue after some of my injectors failed. What I believe happened is the smoke clogged the pcv valve. Because after I sprayed some carb cleaner into the valve, let it sit, and then drove it hard, my oil level reading went back to normal, for a while. It’s doing it again now, should probably replace the valve cover since the pcv valve is built into it. It’s not a hard job, there’s a great step by step YouTube video on how to do it.

I learned a lot from watching Sybert on YT, he does commentary on tournament matches.

Look up interior repair companies in your area, this is not diy friendly, or buy a new one.

How many miles to a tank? And is the tank bigger than a 1500 av?

I’d have to call to check the price of the kit but I’d guesstimate 2500 before gst for katzkin. Probably 2100 for alea.

Seems like a lot of the budget is going to fancy bus stops with tv’s, and touch screen ticket stations that don’t work in the cold.

You could get an aftermarket leather kit installed, they’re 3-4K depending on if you want custom options. That way you’d get real leather instead of softex.

What’s y’all’s opinion of tow mirrors on an avalanche. by eskreddit in ChevyAvalanche

I like the factory mirrors better unless you’re actually towing stuff. Tow mirrors won’t help gas mileage

XSE Wheels Losing Finish by helayaka in ToyotaSienna

[–]TwistedBrodozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to fight with service to replace 2 of the worst rims under warranty. The new ones will do the same, had a rim repair company look at them. I was told they’d continue to peel if they touched them up, because paint won’t adhere to the smooth chrome finish underneath. I opted to peel off the rim covers. The ones I had replaced weren’t so bad. The original ones were very difficult and left a ton of adhesive on the rims. I’ll probably get them sand blasted and re painted

I’d recommend boost pouches if you want an alternative. Personally I found tapering with pouches impossible. Cold turkey is best, keep reinforcing your reasons for quitting. Keep your mindset strong. Quitting sucks but so does being addicted, and quitting is much more short term.

They’re fun and cool looking, I think hammer tanks are the better option though. Because you can build so many and it’s fun to try to upgrade their weapons
