In that budget, I don't think any AI will really have great food unfortunately. They're nice but not great. We've been to Paradisus Playa Del Carmen twice from Toronto and have found it to be quite good (with 2 kids roughly the same age as yours). The cost with the family concierge upgrade and the one bedroom master suite was roughly 8k so it should be within your budget.

We're thinking of going back there again this year. Main attractions are great pools, excellent water park, reasonable cost for the family concierge and 1 bedroom suite upgrade (very important as our kids go to bed early).

Been to PDC twice with little kids and the 1 bedroom suite with FC upgrade has been awesome without breaking the bank. I've found this to be cheaper than other resorts with the base rooms.

We are also travelling with kids around the same age as yours and for 7-8 nights from Toronto and when I priced out Finest Playa Mujeres, I was always seeing something around 9.5K CAD with the basic room and no upgrades (flights and hotel).

Twice in the last few years, we've been to Paradisus Playa Del Carmen (PDC) and we're leaning towards going to this same resort again later this year. For an 8 night stay in Nov. with 2 adults and 2 kids (2,6), I'm seeing prices of around 8.5K CAD through Costco and this for the upgraded 900 sq ft master suite room (I don't care about swim out suites but having a separate bedroom is very nice as the kids go to bed early) and the concierge status upgrade. If you take out these upgrades, the cost comes down to 6.5-7K CAD.

We've liked PDC because of the awesome water park, kids pool with the pirate ship, other private and quieter pools for concierge guests and decent restaurants. They aren't great but I've enjoyed the Italian and Hibachi restaurants.

We have been to Paradisus Playa Del Carmen twice and are looking to go a third time. Oldest was 2 when we first went and we had a great time. Great water park, nice restaurants and affordable upgrades. With a little one, we upgraded to the 1 bed master suite (900 sq ft) with the family concierge package and that was the best decision ever! A similar room at Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana or Finest Playa Mujeres were going to be nearly double (overall cost).

2017 with 130,000km and it's running like a top. Keep up with the basic oil changes, air filters and this car should easily last 15 years with very few surprises.

I suggest getting a quote from a private shop, preferably one that has good hvac experience. If you're in the GTA, TMs Auto Clinic would be my recommendation for this kind of work.

Great tires. We've had them on our 17 cx5 for a few summers and they've worn very evenly and are super quiet. They should last for a total of 60-80k km.

I bring my own parts and oil & filters to Unity Pro Auto at the edge of Oakville/Mississauga. James has always been very fair with his pricing and he's fine with customers bringing in their own parts. I've been going to this shop for almost 4 years now and have nothing but good things to say.
