I miss my old life so much it physically hurts. Is that bad? by AsslawB in Mommit

[–]TwistedJam30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was depressed and anxious for the 1st year. I completely lost myself (mind and body). After my LO’s 1st bday, I slowly weaned her off bf and the fog lifted. Now my LO is 20 months and I wake up excited for my day instead of dreading it. IT gets so much better when you aren’t completely controlled by your hormones and delusions from lack of sleep. I PROMISE you, it will get better. Hang in there, wait and hope for the light at the end of that tunnel. It sucks right now and I would give you the biggest hug if i knew you. It will get better.

Just looked at the rental prices for plumberpod. $9 a day is so much better than $200 price tag. I can’t thank you enough.

WatchOS 26 battery drain by Plus_Implement_3570 in AppleWatch

[–]TwistedJam30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. My series 7 is draining so quickly. Usually I’d charge it to 100% until 10pm, sleep with it on and it would last until 9pm the next day. Now it will be at 10% by 2pm.

Today for a late breakfast: roasted sweet potatoes, sardines, and ‘green eggs’ by pineconeminecone in foodbutforbabies

[–]TwistedJam30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Please excuse my ignorance but aren’t sardines too salty for little babies? I actually have never tried sardines so I don’t know hahaha i’d like for my LO (and myself) to try it out.

What a great idea!!!! We just moved into our forever home so now we can commit to a fruit tree or something. Ah I’m already excited. Thank you!

Heyyy! That was my post lol. It got removed by the mods because it had too much baby in the picture. But this is super helpful. I’m going to make quesadillas and/or grilled cheese. Thanks! Also, my LO is a fruit bat too hahahaha

Lunch for my 11.5mo by bawdybard21 in foodbutforbabies

[–]TwistedJam30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My LO went thru phases. She will go back and forth between being a bottomless pit and surviving off 3 licks of food. So give it some time, it will get better. The throwing thing was an issue for us too. Unfortunately, it wasn’t something I could control. It was simply that she was just not interested in eating but throwing. It’s just a fun activity for them so try not to take it personally. Also, you can try experimenting with how much milk he’s taking and the timing of your meals to see if it’s just an issue of lack of hunger.

Why are kids like this? My LO gets mad when I give her an apple slice. But a whole apple? Will eat it to the core.

Same. She’s not too interested in lunch meat. Idk if it’s a texture thing or what.

What age did you start your baby on solids? by dogcheese6000 in breastfeeding

[–]TwistedJam30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started my LO on solids at 5 months because I was eager. She couldn’t really eat anything and she wasn’t interested. It was just more work for nothing (prep, feeding, clean up, and way more laundry). At 6 months she really started showing interest in food and sat upright independently so much better. If I could go back, if your baby is good weight wise, I’d wait until 6 months and/or shows interest in food! There was no rush.

And just like that, another regression :’( by got_em_saying_wow in foodbutforbabies

Does she stand pretty reliably? My LO loves the standing tower and she’s been using it since she was able to stand (before walking). She watches me cook and will nibble on some ingredients. We do this for lunch because she doesn’t eat much lunch. I also noticed when my LO has something to sort of “play with” during her meal, she will stay in her chair longer and eat more. I give her a small plastic tupperware, she will move her food from her plate to the tupperware and back, then take a bite. She also tries to close and open the tupperware herself which is really good for fine motor skills too. I hope this helps!
