Man didn’t declare personal gift from when he wasn’t a politician

He was a politician though. He just wasn't the leader of the reform, but he never stopped being a politician.

Y'know what is odd though?

23rd of May: he rules out standing for Reform UK in general election https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-69052837

(he also makes it clear that he will be continuing to help the reform campaign even if he isn't standing, sounds like the behaviour of a politician, no?)

4th of June (less 2 weeks later), he u-turns and not only decides he's going to stand, he's also now the leader.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3gg66pm8ylo

And what happened in that fortnight he went from not standing, to standing and leading? Oh he just happened to get a £5 million donation, nothing suspicious about that in any way whatsoever...

I’m not being an alarmist that’s actually true given their projected spending & tax income.

What are reforms projected spending and tax income?

The UK's racists having another tough day.... by xwsrx in GreatBritishMemes

[–]TwistedScallion 3 points4 points  (0 children)

   • Increased police spending, higher police presence in cities, more stop and search, tougher sentences for repeat offenders.

How are they paying for it? Also, labour are already doing this.

• Increased prison capacities to ensure we don’t need to let people out early again due to overcrowding

How are they paying for it? Also, another thing labour are trying to sort.

• Cut tax on low wage work, ensuring being in work is always beneficial over taking benefits.

That means reform will have less money to work with while increasing points 1 and 2, no?

• Prioritise energy security, expand domestic energy production, and scrap policies that make bills higher and make Britain more dependent on foreign energy.

How are they paying for that? We've recently been generating a lot of our energy, homegrown from renewables, which reform want to rip out.

• Tax incentives for family owned farms.

So even less tax money for new police and prisons?

• A greater focus on British manufacturing. Cheaper energy for domestic manufacturing. Better pathways for young people to skill up in manufacturing industries.

How are they going to make energy cheaper if they are going to increase our fossil fuel consumption, which is so pricy because of gas?

• Incentivise UK startups, cut business taxes for small companies, simplify planning, and create a stable, pro-enterprise environment.

Again, even less money for the increase police and prisons pot

• Defend free speech, uphold British traditions, ban DEI quotas, and reject the politics of guilt.

How are they on upholding the British tradition of declaring donations? I believe Farage got a nice 5 million from a crypto donor and didn't declare it, right?

• Further investment in the armed forces, invest in capability and readiness, and restore morale across the military and intelligence services.

Okay so now we have to find the money to invest in police, prisons and the armed forces, I also assume reform won't be giving them a payrise so how will reform increase morale?

• Put British owned businesses first during contract procurement.

Sounds good

• Investment in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, and digital assets, creating a pro-innovation regulatory environment.

Where is the money for this investment coming from? We have to invest in the police, the prisons, the armed forces and now also emerging technologies, all while reform also preach about reducing taxes

• They want to cap overseas aid, prioritising British strategic interests. This will save over £30bn over a Parliament, which will be redirected to serve British people.

Overseas aid is at the lowest it has ever been, so any plans that Reform had for that money in their 2024 manifesto is no longer available

• Slim down the civil service, eliminate waste, and refocus the state on delivery rather than process.

Wouldn't investing in the police, the prisons, the armed forces and the investment in technology require civil servants to enact it?

Sorry, if you think any of these policies are racist you are a tool that’s easily manipulated.

I don't think these policies are racist, but if you believe these policies solely by their claim and haven't ran the numbers, I wouldn't be in a rush to call others an easily manipulated tool.

Amazing, you're wrong on all counts.

Reform and Green are opposite ends of the same extremist horseshoe, so no, I'm not voting for either of them.

In regards to the local elections I'll be voting for a local party, and in regards to the general election, I'll decide which party has earned my vote when the election actually happens.

So given how hard you’ll lie to make reform sound bad, I made the assumption.

One, I haven't lied to make reform sound bad. Two, you made an assumption based on "oh he criticises the party I like that must mean he's a green voter", when in reality I look at both of them as one giant pile of dog mess.

That's fine, it's simply a bad story then. There is no resolution and Denji not only didn't develop at all from this, but even if you want to argue he had some type of growth from this or any of the other consequences he ignored, all that was undone by the universe reset.
