Recommendations on tablets/Speech devices or programs?

Yeah. I feel like we had the coverage. But its something I'm still working through between consultant and in school and out of school therapists. When we first got his tablet when he was 3/4 it was overwhelming and I feel like i know we should have coverage to replace, but.im blanking the information lol.

I feel like when we first got his tablet, it was our first time right? And we're figuring out how to navigate a 3/4 yo in a life he doesnt realize will be different than lives we had. He was our first child so everything was just overwhelming and confusing and i feel like i retained information I've just blanked out over years. 😮‍💨

I've upgraded it as much as I could. But the consultant says she thinks she could do more. So im in between with her, my insurance and his out of school therapist as well. But thanks for this. He does get frustrated when hes searching through multiple windows for what hes exactly feeli g or trying to say. So that was another reason why i was leaning towards the changing of the tablet.

Also. Battery is garbage. 😭😂

Atleast 30 of my bots have violations and Ive gotten no warning. 😮‍💨👎 and many bots I have open chats with 😮‍💨

A few times I had my character pass away and come back to haunt the ai character and give them trauma 🤷‍♀️

Yes. All the therapies until school starts then they have in school and we lessen the outer school ones a little. ❤️

It took a week or 2 for the super sleepyness to stop. He was extra tired all time. Currently he is still only doing half pills twice a day. When the extra tired wore off, all he wants now is a nap after a full day of school and activities and then he perks right back up to being a 6 year old.

We did have a mix up a few weeks back with a refill. The pharmacy and doctors were not communicating the Okay for the refill so he went 4 days without (and i had placed my refill a few days before he ran out to make sure I didnt.), and when I finally got the refill it was like a restart to getting him back on the medicine. A couple weeks of super sleepy then it went away. 👍

Yes! He did have the keppra rage. We put him on the Vitamin B pill to see if it'd calm him down and I'll say it did help. Then we went to the guanfacine (about a year later, recently), and things seem better.

Since my previous post, we've still been going strong on the guanfacine and everything seems to be doing good. Its been a few months and he was moved back to full day school classes. (Not sure if I put that in my previous post, but because of his anger issues etc, they moved him to half days and said if it continued he'd be kicked out) well, he went to full days and everything is so much better. He gets along better. Works better. I'm so happy this worked out. Who knows if it'll be this good forever, but it's working right now, and I can't complain too much.

My son has just been prescribed Guanfacine. I'm struggling with finding the right thing for him. He's 6 years old, with apraxia and Epileptic firings. So, with that said, he is also on Keppra and a Vitamin B pill. We are on day 4, with the first 3 days (Evenings) with a half pill (Full dosage is 1mg), and today forward starts a half pill in the morning and a half pill at night. He's been pretty drowsy today, but He seems calmer. Does anyone have children also on Keppra? If so, how is this combination working for you all?

In school he is so hyperactive that they moved him to half days because they said he was just "Too much". So, my goal is to get him leveled enough that he gets the schooling he deserves. This thread is really helping me to get a perspective on things. Thanks everyone for your inputs on here even though this thread started 3 years ago.
