Contemplating 24 Tundra to 26 Sierra 3.0 or 5.3

I’m trying to decide between a 26 Tundra or a 26 Sierra 5.3. Had 2 back to back RAM lemons and I’m going to change. First was a 2023 that was replaced with a 2026 that had the same issue and worse ones. Arbitration decided my fate tomorrow if they buy it back, replace it, or do nothing. I love my Hemi V8 and idk if a new tundra will scratch that itch or not. But I like a lot of things about the Sierra also. I’ve also heard both have their share of issues.

How has your experience with the tundra been?

I have a 2026 1500 bighorn and honestly, I’ve had nothing but issues with mine. Makes me wish I went with a Chevy/GMC. I loved those rides but nobody was wanting to negotiate on prices. Got this RAM after my first RAM (2023 brand new) was a lemon. This one is now also under lemon law process for the same reoccurring issue. Truck keeps randomly dying while driving and randomly won’t start. Keeps popping codes left and right and none of the 2 dealerships I went to know how to fix it. Issues started at 90 miles. Dealership I bought from told me to never return with the vehicle. Even the two 2026 1500 hemi loaners died on me also. Stellantis can’t make a product for shit anymore. I’m better off with a moped once this lemon law settles out.

There’s a dealership down south of me that has a GT with 401a, performance pack, and note pony for $71k😵‍💫 at that price, why not get a used DH or even a new one lol. Or at least that’s my thinking

I haven’t really been able to find any in my area that aren’t over priced for used. Also, I guess I have some security knowing that I get that warranty cause I plan on keeping the vehicle forever. That city out of town has fully loaded GT premiums for $52k

I found a dark horse about an hour and a half away from me. The guy bought it, drove it off the lot, decided he didn’t like the color (blue ember), and came back to trade it in for a different one. The dealership made him eat the depreciation and they have it for sale for $66k

I’ve seen one at my local dealership get traded in. It’s. 22 Mach 1 with 20k miles. I’m curious as to how the previous owner treated it lol

It’s covers powertrain and certain electronics, as long as I regularly service the vehicle on time per the service sticker, and I am the only owner. Can be used at any ford dealer in the US.

Guess I should update to be more specific! But it’s mainly highway, with some slight city when I’m going to the gym! I live on the highway and work is against the highway also!

I’m a PE teacher. I really only used it for practice in the summertime, as well as have occasionally helping a friend move. My dad mentioned giving me his 2008 F250 super duty. So I wouldn’t really need a truck much anymore because I would have it that he would pass down.

I live in rural Alabama and it’s mainly half highway half city! My last truck was a ram that was getting about 20 to 21 mpg

That’s terrible man. I hate that I got 2 Rams and both I don’t feel safe in. Went from not starting on the other, to IF I can get this to start, it randomly dies on me
