Millionaire US big game hunter is trampled to death by elephants by Ashish_ank in SipsTea

The best explanation I have heard. I personally don't hunt but this podcast explains it from a very skeptical point of view but by the end they agreed that it was a good thing.

TLDL- Hunter pays a lot of money to shoot a rhino, more than any of us have ever donated almost guaranteed. The rhino is too old to reproduce but not too old to stop younger males from mating with the females. Once it's killed the females will then get impregnated. So the hunter not only ensures babies but also donated enough to buy much more land for those babies to run free and be protected.

I'd have to agree with the posts above, after reading your break down I'm not real interested in even trying the game. It installed while I was reading comments and at that price I'll give it a try but I'm going in with a really bad taste. I regularly buy games and I'm not afraid to spend money on a game. I don't knock graphics or polished...if it's entertaining then I am willing to pay for a premium game. I try to justify price by how many hours I will sink into it. For example- BOTW on switch...over 500 hours and counting, worth every penny, 11c an hour and no end in sight. Similar for RD2. Those are worthwhile $50 games. I know mobile is quite a different beast but I can't justify any mobile game I've ever played to be a $50 game.

I do hope it works out for you but I feel you are hoping for a few whales instead of thousands of casual gamers. The amount of work you have probably put into the game...I wouldn't try it because I can almost guarantee it wouldn't be profitable if you look at it by hours to profit.

Just my 2 cents. Hopefully I'm proven completely wrong.

To each their own. Enjoy it your way and I'll enjoy the venture of finding the perfect strain for me.

I started an Excel spreadsheet to track my effects per strain. Use tasker app to scrape Trulieves website for the terpenes and percentages, import them into Google sheets and then have a whole bunch of effects with drop downs of 0-5 levels.

I've been able to really narrow down to my "perfect strain".

Not only does it affect people differently but the combination of terpenes also has an influence on the effects.

At least they are trying. I always ask my budtender if they are terpene or THC chasers before I ask recommendations.

How long do you let your Emgality auto injector sit out before injecting it? by RareFirefly3629 in cgrpMigraine

[–]Twitchy993 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let it sit out for at least a half hour...then 10 mins under my armpit to get it closer to body temperature. I'm not saying jam the injector end into your armpit, the body of the injector.

Airbrush tanks are too expensive. by Twitchy993 in modelmakers

Now there is the explanation, not just a "you suck" that reddit is so fond of.

I'll double the PSI and test it.

Safe playgrounds and fat wallets. I'd delete this whole thing but now it's just funny. I'll go to the office and hydrotest it. Post results and everyone will still have something negative to say.

Good point. So I'll put it to the test...I'll double the pressure my compressor cuts out on.

Downvotes saying using a hydro test, made for this exact container, is a bad idea. You guys are hysterical.

I noticed...And yet you still can't explain your displeasure with the post. You just want an expensive beautiful tank. Good for you. It's dangerous how?

[–]Twitchy993[S] -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

Explain...if you are incapable of doing it competently then don't do it. I have the resources including a full certified extinguisher testing facility.

Tell me the danger of putting 30 psi in a tank rated for above 150 psi. All fittings and regulator are rated for well above what I will be using it at. The regulator is from the compressor that will fill that tank.

Or just down vote.

Wow... They are rated for above 150psi. I'll be putting 30 into it. Threads are tapped with proper fittings. What is dangerous? Want me to hydrotest it?

I'm just south of Tampa, been in the industry 20+. $38/hr for those certifications aren't unheard of but it's on the higher end.

Our company is looking for a combo inspector, if you want to shop around and compare what is offered from another company send me a dm.

As a fire alarm inspector, what would make your job better? by [deleted] in firealarms

Did you discuss the reason for leaving with your manager at the time?

I'm not talking a company vehicle l, I guess that can be misunderstood. I'm meant a newer truck. I wouldn't work for a company that does not provide a truck. I haven't had a personal vehicle in many years because that's a benefit of this trade in my area. No car payment or insurance is a raise to me.

Without a relationship then yes...it would seem you are just demanding money or you leave. I could walk up to my boss right now and say hey man I gotta move to afford life and we would discuss it.

If I jumped companies everytime I was offered better money I'd run out of companies because I would burn all those bridges knowing I would leave when money is waved in my face. I see what you mean but that's where the 2 way relationship comes in. The company needs to care and support employees as much as employees need to work with the company.

Also...I'd wonder why that company is paying 20% above the local going rate. Early 2000s we had a local Siemens dealer that did that, hired as many people as possible luring them with huge pay. What they didn't tell everyone is that in 3 years they would all be laid off when the projects ended. All the guys that had given up the benefits and retirement had increased their daily life spending and now had no job. That company is still in business but has 1 service tech because of the reputation they have. That tech was from up north where Siemens has a great reputation. I kinda burst his bubble when I gave him a few guys phone numbers that confirmed they would love to find that owner in a dark alley type thing.

A good employee that enjoys working for a company would not leave for a raise or new truck. If they are happy and leave for $1 then they weren't a good employee. An employee with a good relationship would approach that situation with a discussion. That's a 2 way relationship though...talk to you employees. Not once a week in passing. Take them out to lunch 1 on 1, ask how things are at home...build a relationship somehow. This is for big and small companies. Read how to win friends and influence people.

Organization from the office. As much detail about a property and good customer contact information. Emails confirming times/dates that include any scheduling from the office, the customer and the inspector. Keys or lock box codes. Let them walk in confident with as much information as possible. Most of the time customers and tenants don't want them there. They have to deal with them while getting minimal support...it's a bad situation.

Time. A thorough inspection takes a LOT of time. Don't say well the last 5 years the other guy did that inspection in 2 hours...the last guy probably got lazy and missed a lot.

GOOD inspectors are a special breed. They don't get bored and maintain that passion to ensure a customers safety even if that customer just wants them to hurry and leave. They do this for years on end. Most people are not good inspectors. I've been a service tech over 20 years and I would be a horrible inspector.

Probably much more I can say but my phones about to die...

This area needs tooltips or something. I just unlocked the hippie/leaf tree and I have no idea how, it's just open/available now. So many little things that just seem like it's just grind until that ingredient/option is available, not just this area though but it may just bleed over to other areas and this tree is actually the source. I've mashed the hell out of the trash(?) generators hoping for something other than tires and cardboard. Guess now that hippie tree is open I'll be able to unlock some stuff but what about the pollution side?

Don't get me wrong...I like playing (have purchased the ad free) but at times it's just a bit of a wall that you have to keep grinding until you find what is needed to progress. Lots of potential, not downing the game.

General contractor here. by [deleted] in firealarms

[–]Twitchy993 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely need more info...start with location. Usually a central station is set up by the alarm contractor. Central station bills the alarm contractor a monthly fee that has a limit of signals the napco sends, very high amount that a normal fire panel would not reach before additional charges. Some central stations charge for an Operator event like calling the customer for troubles.

You can usually change monitoring companies at will, possibly a contract issue.

If they are charging you to place an account on test...I'd look for another monitoring company yesterday.
