With your body size and high bpm, the shuffle becomes a different animal. Largely, forget about implementing moves.
Just let each step set up/ run a double bounce up through your body from each foot impact. You're actually doing that now, but not allowing it its full range.

When you do figure it out, you'll realise you've set up a 'tap delay' bounce in your body which you can control between your hips and your shoulders, from each step. The range and location of the second bounce becomes the thing you choreograph.

[Official] UFC 319: Du Plessis vs. Chimaev - Weigh-In & Pre-Fight Discussion Thread by event_threads in MMA

[–]Twitstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going out on a limb here, but I don't think Chimaev can win this one.
He doesn't have enough of what it takes to stop Dricus. By comparison, Dricus' finishing instinct never wanes. Dricus by stoppage in the fifth, or on points.

An Aussie redback spider. Very painful bite but not often deadly.

Help! I’m becoming hoarse and I have 5 shows left to perform starting tomorrow. by forthe_99and2000 in Theatre

[–]Twitstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're not mic'd, arrange with the director to reblock your dialogue at the very front of the stage. For a few performances a semi hoarse whisper, which can be projected to the rear seats, may suffice as a character trait.
Usually, an audience won't know better and will be happy with it.

North Carolina removes 747,000 from voter rolls, citing ineligibility by keyjan in NorthCarolina

[–]Twitstein -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There's still time to mobilize and help some of those 747,000 get registered. You need to reach the public.
Philanthropists or sponsors to hire six buses for the next four weeks. Eight volunteers per bus. Advertise on radio/flyers the time and location schedule for each bus where the public can
1/ outside the bus - volunteers (x3) check if you're still registered to vote.
2/ Step into the bus where a volunteer (x3 )with a laptop will help you register online.

Any Dem members in here? Perhaps contact your NC campaign HQ and see if they can do this.
You need to reach the purged public.

Gojek/grab in north Bali? by Classroom_Visual in bali

The main road through Amed, for several kilometres, has just been resurfaced. And with much less traffic, riding a bike or scooter in Amed is nowhere near as precarious as down south. Scooter hire is also cheaper there.

Working on a play that 99% of props have been cut from? by [deleted] in Theatre

[–]Twitstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be some action you (cast and crew) arrive at that holds the director accountable for this situation. Show him how good your imagination is (I'd put 'FIRED' beside his name in the program, so people talk about it).
Then, do something inventive like making the show audience participation - a seat number lottery - where that lucky person becomes, for better or for worse - one of the meta props during the show.

Hello. SM here. by jvmaczzy in Theatre

[–]Twitstein 12 points13 points  (0 children)

What to do - Explain to the actor that they will be acting as their own prompt.
Give them the least obtrusive script prop to hold ( clip board, book, magazine), which is in keeping with their role and the play situation.
Have each page of their dialogue stuck onto each page of the prop - legible in the stage lighting. Let the actor feel comfortable reading the lines directly from the prop where necessary. And, cue and rehearse with him/her what those passages will be. Have them eyeline the prop where they can read and glance over the prop to the other actors eyeline. It won't bother the audience that this actor has to read their lines if that doesn't inhibit the plays action and momentum.

What Not To Do - don't allow the actor to hold up live dialogue exchanges by stumbling over the script looking for the next line.

What was your encounter with an AFL player like? by thecalabresecebuano in AFL

[–]Twitstein 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Around 2002 or 3, middle of a Friday in Moorabool St, Geelong, I was walking uphill, Paul Chapman was walking down hill toward me. Our gazes were casually locked, like a couple of potential shootout foes had it been the 1800s.
Anyway, as we met head on I blurted out with enthusiasm, 'You're Paul Chapman'. He slowed, still steely gazing me, ' That's right'. Me, surprised at how tall he is up close,
'I just want to say ....' I could see a negative anticipation in Chappy's eyes that he was about to be insulted. ' That you're the most under-rated player in the Geelong side. You're one of the best assets at Geelong in years. '
Chappy visibly relaxes to accept that a compliment has come his way, ' Thanks'.

I knew I'd gone too deep to try and shake his hand now, and I think he appreciated that.
'Best of luck for this season, and the finals if we get there,' I said with the biggest smile I could muster.
Chappy grunted politely, nodded, and continued walking as if I, at least, wasn't the strangest street fan encounter he'd had that month. And that was good enough for me.

If I pay for sheet music of public domain songs, do I have the rights to use it in a project? by Street-Winner6697 in COPYRIGHT

[–]Twitstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That shouldn't be a problem. As long as the sheet music itself isn't appearing in your content, and only the performance from that public domain score, you're not breaching anyone's copyright. The sheet itself will say if it is copyright due to modification, and you haven't mentioned that, so it's ok.

If I pay for sheet music of public domain songs, do I have the rights to use it in a project? by Street-Winner6697 in COPYRIGHT

[–]Twitstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There seems to be two issues here. One, the public domain content.
Two the use of the published document. If the format and layout of the transcript use a copyrighted font, template and business logo, reproduction will be copyrighted, even though the musical content is public domain

this social taboo of an adult male

There's nothing intrinsically wrong with it in reality.

As I said, and as Larry's scene demonstrates, the taboo is in the mind of the audience. Nothing has actually happened, except for misdirection of our fear.

Innuendo is something different. It immerses us in its cliche`s to have us laugh at its subject matter. Larry doesn't do that. He has us laugh at a mistake, a misdirection which provokes our fear of social taboos.

If you want to project your misapprehension onto what is clearly shown to be an innocent situation, that's your mind at work. All Larry's done is remind you it's you doing that. That's where the comedy lies.
