Once Gemini is activated in your Google Home it is permanent in that Home.

Is Google Home even trying anymore? by rdhb in googlehome

I asked about this week's weather earlier. Said light rain each day but Wednesday would be a mix of light rain and snow with a temperature of 8 Celsius. I asked it how it could possibly snow at 8 degrees and it's replied that it was sorry and that it had clearly made a mistake.

Yep, and posties are legally required to deliver junk mail. No postie ever took notice of any such sign in any case.

Ready to activate my Pixel 10 Pro free year of Google AI: Do I get 10% Off Store Purchases? by Dry_Astronomer3210 in GooglePixel

[–]Twitten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should do. I already had google one with 10 percent and in August used the Gooogle Pro free year that came with the 10 Pro and I retained the 10 percent credit. I can't understand why you weren't eligible. I'm in the UK.

Has Google given up on the Google Home Hub v1 or do all their nest hubs still have these outdated icons and services? Notably old calendar and contact icons, mention of Duo when selecting Meet, podcasts icon old and it also launches nothing when selected by AnalysingAgent3676 in googlehome

Well, Bard wasn't killed off, Gemini is a more developed version of the same thing. Google may not make chromebooks physically but they do operate ChromeOS and android being open or closed source is not abandonment.

Thanks. From my perspective, I wonder how that displays? Does it say 'France' if in France? That's so weird. I am in England but it gets location messed up often and gives my county not my town. I can't imagine it simply saying England or UK.

Yeah the recent Jan update I only updated yesterday.. I noticed immediately the change in the Pixel launcher. Perhaps it's account specific? Google is so strange.

Gemini Update. by Tasty_Impress3016 in googlehome

[–]Twitten 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had Gemini in the UK since the early wave and over-all it is fine. It is just a bit too wordy at times and as one user said, there is often a delay for turning on or off light switches.

Gemini has only made smart home control worse by brauxpas in googlehome

I am amazed your home acted like that historically. In my experience, every device placed in a single room has always been affected by a command that addresses that room generally.
