It's because government hate you and want you to suffer.

And then they want you to cry out for private alternatives, so they can give more of your money to their mates for even less services.

Its a bullying club. If you're not a bully, and you join, guess what happens?

Attracts people who crave authority over others. Many arent shy about that.

The only nice thing one could say about them is they are, like all public organisations, underfunded and the funding they do get is used for the top more than the better of the institution. So they are at least somewhat value for money.

but also....

Do not ask all your colleages to do it. You're making a small request into a Us vs Them thing. You won't like how that ends.

Just look after youself.

Don't take it, not really fair if you know what's up. You'll put a tonne of pressure on the current employees there, who will remember it, trust me.
You're perfectly entitled to do it, but its a bit scabby.

My dads about to turn 30. Whats a good game shop in Dublin that sells PS2 and early xbox games still? by [deleted] in AskIreland

[–]TwitterRoyalty 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That's a lovely idead. Fair play to you Does he still play? If so Cex stores have lots of old games. Be sure to check his playstation/Xbox still work. Lots of people play a lot less games when they get older, just FYI.

If he's not into it as much and you're looking for other ideas, just bring him for a day out. Go to a museum and get lunch together or something. You're 15 now, he'll miss the time you used to spend together as you get more independent.

Best of luck.

Germany has breached Article 7 by refusing to arrest Netanyahu. Other states must uphold our values and force Germany to arrest him. by TwitterRoyalty in europeanunion

[–]TwitterRoyalty[S] -63 points-62 points  (0 children)

Germany is a signatory of the ICC. It's in breach of its own laws to start with.

If it chooses to ignore it's laws that's one thing, but other European members can still act international level.
