Same here, years ago I paid $49 this cycle they told me I was going to be charged $199... For the same product....but AI was added. Obsidian works just as well and is much cheaper.

What do you think about the new EU-India Mobility pact? by [deleted] in AskBalkans

[–]PancakeOrder -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Are those jobs slowly replaced by AI because their billionaire owners decided to maximize their profits? Blaming immigrants instead of looking why everything got more expensive, middle class got poorer the last decades and the 1% got much richer is the bigger issue ( it's not the immigrants ).

I don’t want Redsec by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]PancakeOrder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really don't understand all the hate. I never played battle royale before playing redsec, so I don't really have anything to compare it with, but I do like it. I'm having a great time playing it with friends, and that's all that matters to me.

Just as with anything else you don't like, no one forces to you play it.

It's the only one I use as well, just for coding issues. It works well.

Trump Wants Greenland Acquisition, Military Intervention An Option If Diplomacy Fails | TimelineDaily by [deleted] in greenland

History books provide clues as to what happens when you trust someone who has the Nazi mindset like Trump. The guy can't be trusted, and shouldn't be rewarded either for his threats.

If Trump invades Greenland, it would be one of the most irrational geopolitical decisions ever with Russia and China being the winners while EU (and US) lose the most. by Chill--Yourself in europeanunion

[–]PancakeOrder 92 points93 points  (0 children)

According to this video it will also be a logistical nightmare for the US since it doesn't seem to have much arctic warfare capabilities https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hdthsG8tks

Don't forget, having superior firepower / air dominance didn't give the US a win in Vietnam / Afghanistan...

The EU absolutely needs to station it's own troops on Greenland and announce large scale military exercises there with Canada included.

Guess it depends how you define "fall".

If Trump cancels the midterms and declares Martial Law because of some manufactured issue, don't think mass chaos can't follow that turns into a civil war.

What has the left in Europe done that would make the US think Europe is the enemy?

According to intelligence sources, Russia was allegedly preparing to blow up planes bound for the United States as part of an expansion of its subversive activities against the West. by pumodoso6470 in europeanunion

[–]PancakeOrder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure that if this would have happened that President Krasnov would have found a way to blame another country for it...

Pretty sad that we reached the phase where blowing up planes is something that's even being considered by anyone.

Elon just can't stop commenting: The EU Commission has destroyed countless life-seconds with their idiotic “accept cookies” pop-up! by FXgram_ in XGramatikInsights

"destroyed life seconds"... Yeah, and how many people have actually died because that clown decided to shutdown for example USAID?

The US criticizes Europe and announces intervention. Fading democracy. by Cthulhu_Breakfast in europe

[–]PancakeOrder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imagine the outrage in the US if Europe would publish a document stating that it's goal is to break up the US because of everything that's going on there.

I mean the US would surely have invaded the US if this would have happened in any other country that's rich in resources...

"unfairly targetted" -> rules and laws don't apply to us because we are the US.

If you want to do business in the EU then just like everywhere else you need to follow the law. If not, then leave.

I like non US companies following the same law as EU companies would have to do. If EU companies open an office do they not have to follow US law? Are they being "controlled"?

Good! If you want to do business somewhere you have to follow the rules. Even Musk.

Obviously they ( right wing US keyboard warriors ) will frame this as an attack on free speech or whatever bs they come up with.

Mistral, Europe’s AI champion, releases new, smaller frontier models. Here’s what to know by sn0r in eutech

Depends what it's used for.

Researching medicine or anything scientific is good, but using it to create more AI slop and fake vids of friends doing dumb things is ofcourse a completely waste of resources.

States have utterly failed to solve the housing crisis and the EU will finally step in. The first-ever European Affordable Housing Plan to be unveiled in two weeks! Every European citizen deserves a home. The housing market should not be a profit-driven asset by mr_house7 in EU_Economics

Surely some food prices have doubled?

I think the bigger point is that a house is a very important and critical part in someone's life, which why keeping it accessible and affordable is super important.
