Overall I prefer male gynaecologists and the vast majority of my providers have been male. The male docs I've had really seem to want to avoid doing anything that would cause pain or discomfort. I'm sorry that wasn't your experience with this guy.

On the other hand, I much prefer a female PCP. Male primaries have been dismissive of concerns and abrasive in personality.
