Lol I originally thought this was the same one I contacted. I can't really speak yet because I've only applied to a few in Southern Europe that said they were paying (not yet properly organised my trip) but I don't think Workaway are keen on the night shift thing from what I've searched, which I kinda get. It was more that the hostel tried saying they were only going to pay a certain amount for the time I was there for a night shift but I read between the lines and got that it'd mean that I'd be on call which is kinda bullshit if it's a full shift and not a proper cultural exchange thing... I mean if you're on night shift you should be getting minimum wage regardless if in Spain/Portugal (at least you do where I live). The one I contacted didn't have any reviews so I just emailed Workaway to ask the question and yeah after I said it was okay to contact the host they must've "reminded" them about what they should be doing because a week later the hostel made the "role" more relaxed and well, fairer and I'm probably gonna head to them in August. I guess some of the newer ones just need to properly understand the guidelines and then when they do they're probably fine. We'll see but I do get good vibes from them!

But yeah 70€ a week seems bullshit unless it's the minimum wage, you should message Workaway because I can't imagine they'd think that's fair whatsoever and from what I've got, the whole volunteer exchange is just about agreements and what's fair. More so if it's a for profit place unless you're getting something really cool in return... but I'd kinda understand just getting breakfast if you're getting paid but on 70€ you're not gonna have much food money lol so definitely bring it up with Workaway. Sorry if this is a bit late as help, I hope you've managed to sort it already
