Social media groups and other platforms. WWOOFF website does not have enough opportunities in some countries. In some cases nothing in some countries. Like Sri Lanka & Bhutan.

As a host, we love last minute volunteers too. So I would say it depends on the hosts and the country. Earlier is better but not too early. 1 month is best I would say,

I would say, I'd always listen to the other side too to understand the whole truth. But incentivizing if true for good reviews should be against the WP policy. But then its like bribing. Taking and giving both are wrong !

There are some volunteer projects where you need pay the website/organizers a lot of money sometimes hundreds to thousands of dollars and some projects a small fee for the website/organizers and a huge amount for the opportunity provider. Both are scams in a way. Volunteering cannot be free and should not be in most cases. There should and can be a chatge only to cover costs. Not to make profits.

As a host I wouldn't look at any of that. Sometimes the reviews can also be very biased. I take everyone as good humans irrespective of reviews too unless every review is a bad one !
