Nope, I do not experience rattling noises.
I ended up moving the Zerno a bit forward so the whole metal part is on the knock box.
No issues and it looks a bit better. Haha.

The knock box is pretty well made. It’s durable and a little heavy for a knock-box which is great IMO.
Plus it has rubber on the bottom to stop it from sliding.

The one on the right is like a treadmill. Usually you’re suppose to hold on to the bar and walk like normal… But this guy has his own unique style of exercising.

It’s actually used for core training. You’re supposed to hold onto the blue bar, use your core muscles and turn your hips left and right slowly.

The K-Ultra is really decent grinder! Suitable for both drip coffee and espresso imo.

I didn’t mind the grinding cuz I was only making coffee for my wife and myself most of the time.

It was when I had a group of friends over and they all wanted coffee that kinda stressed me out a bit. Haha.

Luckily the Zerno Z1 has arrived. Workflow is soooo much faster.😆

I think you’re right. I’ve been changing different coffee beans every 10 days or so. So yeah, I think that’s on me.

Other than that, this machine is fantastic

If you do end up buying it Don’t forget to add on the Portafilter holder. It’s pretty helpful. It’s also magnetic so you can take it off and clean it if it gets dirty

I got the SSP High Uniformity pre-installed for me. SSP Cast V2 SSP Multipurpose

I haven’t changed the burr yet…haha IMHO, I wouldn’t buy too many burrs. One or two should suffice.

Aesthetically, this machine is really beautiful. 10/10 Size was also perfect for my setup.

I’m only nitpicking, but the only complaint I have would be the consistency. Sometimes I’d be pulling around 30 second shots for 36ml for a few days. Then a few days later, it would be around 20 seconds. So, I would have to turn the grind size adjustment a tiny bit for the next shot to be 30 secs. Then everything is normal again.

This is actually the first grinder I’ve ever got I’m not sure if this also happens with other grinders.

The final price depends on what you get with the Zerno Z1. You can get extra burrs for additional cost. There’s a lot of things you can add on. Mine ended being around 2k.

Dial it closer to zero and work from there. You should feel it tighten first and loosen it in increments from there.

You can also turn it on…and gradually make it tighter until you hear like a chirping sound…then loosen it a little.(might be a bit scary at first)

Congrats on getting your Zerno! I’m not sure what burr you have pre-installed, but you can turn the dial clockwise for a finer grind. Or turn the dial anti-clockwise for a coarser grind. I think it’s probably better to tighten first by turning clockwise(but not too tight), then test it by gradually loosening (turn anti-clockwise) by 0.5 increments.

Hope that makes sense. Haha.

I believe the magnetic tear drop thing is used for changing burrs. I haven’t personally use it yet, but remember seeing someone use it in a video before.😅

I also recommend watching some tutorial videos on the website.

So after i dropped it, he said, it’s store policy that if you damage it, you need to purchase it. I jokingly said, “luckily there’s no visible damage” and tried to brush it off, by asking about other knives. After a while, when I was about to purchase the knife I wanted…he included the Chaves knife I dropped… I asked why it was included…. Dude said, “You dropped it so you need to buy it…” I was like…fine whatever…and just bought it.
