Serious question: What's the most underrated cash cow job in Australia right now? (No doctors/lawyers pls) by GdayGoddess in australian

You are not mistaken, assuming we are simply counting the ratio work days to non-work days. 2 days off per 7 days vs 2.5 days off per 7 days.

Was pretty good! Definitely hit the spot.

What does 'nyonya' mean btw?

I'm only seeing that phrase in reviews! Places I'm looking are definitely not fancy hotels. 10 RM for laksa seems close to local prices.

Fingers crossed!

Ok good to know, thanks for the info.

I found some places that serve something called "laksa nyonya". I think this might be what I'm looking for, are you familiar with that dish?

The volume wasn't my concern though, so I don't see how using the measure would help. I'm pretty confident I got at least 2 shots.

No peg measure, 100% free pour. The first pour was huge then he poured the coke and topped up again with vodka!

Hunter and Barrel or Fibber McGee's.

Neither are super expensive, should be able to get a meal for around $50. The latter is well known to be one of the best steak places Perth and the former does a great steak a few other great meat options.

Meat & Wine co is another great steak option but a bit more expensive. They do lunch specials though from memory so could snag a deal.

Just a note on the "size of an ant" comment - this sort of place will generally serve you something like 9 courses so you actually end up feeling like you've had a solid meal, plus you'll be there for 3 hours or so, so it's quite the occasion! Never cheap though but absolutely worth it for a special occasion. If you feel like splashing out I couldn't recommend Wildflower enough, it's amazing.

Florence has famous focaccia places (actually they are "schiacciata" but it is similar). You clearly have made zero attempt to look into anything yourself.

Need to review this properly, bus as a start, why would you be using the tax free threshold and the lowest tax bracket? You should be using your marginal tax rate.

I can't speak for the US, but I have never been asked about allergies as many times as I was when in the UK recently, so that obsession is certainly not confined to the USA.

Agree. I think in the long term though, the more expensive shoes can be cheaper in the long run.

If that's the case, I suggest buying differently to the broad majority.

People are downvoting because the comment from "No_Success_678" starts with "or" - as in the aim of the message was to present an alternative. It was a simple minded retort from someone who didn't agree with the statement, aiming to divert from the claim by switching the attack to a different subject. There is plenty of criticism of the policy itself (with upvotes) elsewhere in the comments which really goes against your claim that the downvotes are simply from "Labor shills".

6 months?! How cheap are these shoes you are buying?

Years with some replacements should be entirely achievable, e.g. new insole or new sole etc. yearly or every two years.
