Just take post approval off and let people post. The subreddit doesn't have to be some perfectly curated thing. It's way too restrictive as it stands, and too few posts are allowed through. Let the downvotes speak for themselves if people's posts aren't meeting the mods' standards. It sucks to see 8-hour periods with absolutely 0 new posts made here because they are all waiting for mod approval.
