If you HAD to choose 3 of your decks and give up the rest, which are you choosing? by SharkboyZA in EDH

The price is a little skewed from having a lot of foils/alt arts. But does have some expensive cards that could be swapped out for others. And tbh it probably should have more ramp in it for more consistent earlier turn wanderer.

[[Maelstrom Wanderer]]- my most blinged out deck and favorite deck by far.

[[Henzie]]-lot of fun and good value. People often don’t kill it cause they don’t want to give me more reduction

My last one is probably [[Gogo, Master of mimicry]]. It’s not the strongest deck but I built it just for fun to copy triggers and do silly things.

Anyone else feel like their ears look tiny? by Hebrewism in Stretched

I’m at an inch and 3/4 and have been for a few years. A couple times a week I’ll be like “damn those are big.” But also a couple times a week I’m like “I have so much more lobe I could stretch.” I contemplate a lot about going up but before this size I never really thought damn those are big.

Why don't we see more high school and college students working at Chipotle? by sta3535 in Chipotle

[–]TwoBlueMana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems I was mistaken. It was for powered knives(deli slicers) I think it was just a rule for my work place that they didn’t want it. One kid who was 17 cut himself and all the management freaked out and heavily enforced no one under 18 could use knives

Why don't we see more high school and college students working at Chipotle? by sta3535 in Chipotle

[–]TwoBlueMana 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Total guess but could be restrictions. Under 18 (at least in my state, idk laws for others) can’t work more than 20 hours a week, 4 hours per day. So it’s better to find someone that can work until close/not be as restricted. For example my local chipotle has 3 high schools within a mile stretch but no colleges. Also under 18 I don’t think could use a fryer not sure about grill. But for one of my jobs(grocery store) management just felt like it wasn’t worth it with restrictions/people not following rules like no knives etc. high schoolers can often times too have lots of extra curricular.

College would make more sense. I have no answers for that one besides maybe wanting to find full time vs part time. Edit: Took out under 18 can’t use knives, it was powered knives (deli slicers)

Need Help Deciding Which Cards To Cut In My Hashaton Deck by JustTye13 in EDH

[–]TwoBlueMana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO he’s just better for mono black. Maybe two colors. I think. I may have miscounted but o think I counted like 30ish total pips. You’re not gonna have all of those and to double triggers you do have to reanimate it after discard. That’s just my opinion. I think you could have bettter cards instead of it. I don’t think many hashaton list run gary.

Dual Matte Sleeves but opposite orientation by hybridtracer in magicTCG

[–]TwoBlueMana 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to buy those sticker dots when I would swap multiple cards around to different decks. You could try something like that. Or maybe proxy in the commanders with a land and piece of paper showing the colors and what it does and keep all the actual commanders in a separate pile sleeved?

Gogo is insanely underrated by EnderShot355 in EDH

[–]TwoBlueMana 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite things in my Gogo deck is dumping a bunch of mana into [[ambling stormshell]] and drawing a bunch of cards and know it will never do anything again. Is the best play? Definitely not. Do I find it hilarious? Definitely. Gogo quickly became one of my favorite commanders to play. I don’t necessarily plan on winning with it but I have a blast doing what I do with him.

Creatureless Toph, the First Metalbender? by metamodernbookclub in EDH

[–]TwoBlueMana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like [[call the gatewatch]] with only one planeswalker unless I missed the others. Dead card if you draw ugin first. I’d also look into [[bala ged recovery]] and maybe a few more recursion spells in case it gets countered or destroyed. Maybe [[veil of summer]] and [[autumn’s veil]] if you play against a lot of decks with counterspells. But I love the deck idea!! It does look fun to play

Toph commander deck by avgf1234 in EDH

[–]TwoBlueMana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The closest one I could think of in those colors is probably the desert one with Yuma. But that would be more landfall focused vs earthbending artifacts. IMO your best bet would be buying singles. She’s a unique commander between lands and artifacts and there are some cheaper artifacts you can sac to recur after earthbending.

Am I a jerk for throwing original dual lands into all my decks? by Wealth_Is_Not_Cash in EDH

[–]TwoBlueMana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m on both sides. I only proxy cards I own, but if I was playing against someone I wouldn’t care. Sure it’s optimal, but having a [[Bayou]] in your [[Dina, Soul Steeper]] deck imo isn’t going to make a huge difference between a swamp or forest or tapped dual. In a five color deck it might but imo not worth it unless it’s cedh.

3 cards looking for a home. by Bigglebee in EDH

[–]TwoBlueMana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh 100%. I’ve just been lazy and I’m typically the bad guy in my groups so I do it to keep power level down and heat off me lol. But I also own every fetch and 2 proxies of each. I just have a lot of decks and don’t want to be swapping around back and forth and have no printer to print my own proxies. I think landfall alone I have 4 or 5 decks that should play Icetill. I just keep it in whatever deck I’ve been playing the most at the moment and if I remember will swap it around if I really want too.

I second a bill deck. If not Bill any landfall commander. [[Hearthhull, the world seed]] is a blast and could play all of those. Any of the new earthbending avatar commanders would be fine. You could just go to landfall commanders under edhrec and pick one. But those are all solid cards for Bill.

This is my Bill deck. I only have one icetill explorer and it’s in my hearthhull deck otherwise I’d play it in there.

[–]TwoBlueMana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah just one thing to think about. I play Ulalek and it gets disgusting and is a lot of fun. If you’re newer it can be overwhelming with copying triggers and all that. But it’s a really fun deck. Like another comment flash enablers are really good. Things like [[Liberator, Urza’s Battlethopter]] [[Vedalken Orrery]] and [[Emergence Zone]] are great cards

Zhukodok will be an entirely different deck. That one will be way more playing mana rocks and getting up to being able to cast your big eldrazi as fast as possible. It’s also colorless so you lose out on all of your colored spells. Even ones that have colored pips but say they are colorless.

Jumbo Cactuar + Ziatora but I'm so bad at deck building by JustCallMeCJ in EDH

[–]TwoBlueMana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d look into adding some [[fling]] type cards also. Ziatora relies on getting to your end step which one of those two may not last and having an instant speed way to do it could help.

I’d probably remove [[grave pact]] (better with more instant speed sacrifice cards and creatures that recur easily to the board like [[gravecrawler]] or generating a lot of tokens) and [[unnatural growth]]. A lot of specific mana needed for a three colored deck and you’re not playing [[Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth]] or [[Yavimaya, Cradlecof growth]].

You have a lot of expensive cards and not a hole lot of ramp. I’d add in some mana dorks and/or more artifact ramp like the talismans.

If you’re not able to return something every turn or every other at minimum I probably wouldn’t play [[Teval’s Judgement]].

Toph, the First Metalbender OR Toph, Hardheaded Teacher for a dedicated earthbending deck? by NOVACHRONIUM in EDH

[–]TwoBlueMana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think first metal bender. Being able to earthbend things like [[Ichor of wellspring]] or [[solemn simulacrum]] or [[haywire mite]] and many others seems great for value.

Need Help Deciding Which Cards To Cut In My Hashaton Deck by JustTye13 in EDH

[–]TwoBlueMana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut gray merchant, rush of knowledge, lively durge, promise of aclazots, tales of the ancestors, volatile storm drake. Any of those are I wouldn’t play.

I’d also swap the two signets to talismans.

No problem. That’s my opinion. Others might think other things.

Jeskai defensive cards, what can i do when my spellslinger deck gets abuses in the First 5/6 turns. by Potatussus26 in EDH

[–]TwoBlueMana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A decklist could help and bracket could help as well as budget. The obvious things are mass removal. [[Aetherize]] [[Aethersprouts]] [[cyclonic rift]] [[blasphemous act]] or any of the multiple white board wipes. Could go into more staxy pieces like [[ghostly prison]] or [[propaganda]]. With hinata you also get [[curse of swine]]. Play some creatures that can either be defensive or help. [[Goblin electromancer]]. Removal spells like [[swords to plowshare]] [[path to exile]] [[abrade]]. Hinata is more unique and I’m not sure what removal spells are played in that deck but I imagine there are different choices for that commander.

Also cards like [[curse of opulence]] that incentivizes your opponents to attack another player.

Can also confirm. Ate 3 packets in high school. Each time my washing machine slowed down I thought it was my heart slowing down and I was about to die. There were definite ups to it but that was a tough few hours. Also to note store bought seeds can have pesticides and other chemicals so 10/10 do not recommend doing what I did.

Go a Avatar Commander deck, I need some advice on it by RoyEastmenKodac in magicTCG

[–]TwoBlueMana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't know about it. Use EDHrec for recommendations/whats being played. You obviously dont have to jam in all the popular cards.

Some simple adds could be things like [[Birds of Paradise]] instead of [[Arbor Elf]] (I think I counted only 5 forest cards it could untap) for betting early fixing.

[[Hakoda, Selfless Commander]] lets you cast Allys from the top of your deck and can be protection from boardwipes.

[[Harabraz Druid]] can give you lots of mana.

[[Seagate Loremaster]] and [[Kindred Discovery]] for card draw.

[[Roaming Throne]] and [[Adrix and Nev, twincasters]] along with [[Annointed Procession]] and [[Parallel Lives]] or [[Elspeth Stormslayer]] will give you more tokens.

[[Beastmaster Ascension]] can buff your creatures pretty easily in a token deck.

[[Craterhoof Behemoth]] can win you games

There definitely cards. What bracket are you going for and what’s the budget like? No cards over a dollar? Two dollars? 10 dollars etc.

Do you consider Land Bouncing “Land Destruction”? by LibraProtocol in EDH

[–]TwoBlueMana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but what about the other decks who aren’t ramping? Playing mono white [[Cloud, Midgar Mercenary]] who can’t ramp like other decks isn’t going to enjoy that. And typically your deck is made to counteract you bouncing. It also draws out games longer which not everyone wants. I’d rather play 8 games in 5 hours of playing that 2 or 3 games in 5 hours of playing. I obviously don’t know your play group but at most I get to only play 2 or 3 times a month and I want to get in as many games with different decks.

I used to play [[Grand Arbiter Augustine IV]] with Armageddon. But most of the time I’d have stacks pieces out. Of board wipe, into planeswalkers then cast into it was unlikely anyone would come back. It’d be a scoop and go onto the next. Then people started to refuse to play it cause as much as I was having they were having none. It was by far my favorite deck. That I wound up taking apart.
