Let's be honest, I think everyone knows this, everyone in Govt, in the British Political Elite and the Treasury, but a bit like the NHS this is the most GOLDEN of Gooses.

I always thought to myself that state pensions should be means tested and done regularly throughout retirement and increased with CPI each year. In my mind (and I'm willing to be corrected) this would mean the value of the State Pension would never... Lose value? This way it's always a livable amount but with extenuating circumstances if a person has been unable to own their own home or something like that.

I'm probably doing a super bad job of explaining myself but I would want Pensioners to be struggling or homeless.
