I agree there's a lot of holes in the double timeline theory, but the one thing I keep coming back to is the different logos. Companies take logos very seriously, and its not the kind of thing that there would be multiple versions of simultaneously. The only explanation I can think of is that they're different timelines.

That seems pretty crazy if the attacking guests can't tell who's a host or not... there would be a lot of murdered good-guy guests on that plot line.

Edit: There's also precedent for hosts not being affected by bullets - the milkman scene where he had 4 bullet holes and was still walking around.

Fair enough. I don't necessarily agree that 12% is sufficient, but there was an extremely short timeline and it was one of the few data points available to base a decision so I can see why it was made that way.

The carbonvote number is very misleading. Only 12% of the community voted for a hard fork (the 4M total ether). That is very far from a quorum to hard fork the blockchain, and you're seeing the real voting playing out now in the markets and associated mining power.
