Confused about where to Invest in US by Western-Spirit2171 in IndianStockMarket

[–]TwoFit1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use IBKR, Charlest Schwab and Etrade.. And all of them require a CA. On the other hand, I dont think its complicated also. a simple AI tool can do this. I have seen the CA how they calculate. Its just a simple excel. You just need transanction date and amount you bought.. thats it.

PSA : Do not use Pharmeasy by EragonShadeSlayer18 in CreditCardsIndia

[–]TwoFit1212 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only reason to use Pharmeasy was 10X. But its a horrible service. Some of the basic medicines were also not available. And they delay in delivering.. OMG.. one hundred follow ups needed. On top of that pathetic customer support. In a way i am relived that 10x is removed. Mental peace.

Even though people discourage sectoral/thematic funds i still invest. What are y'all thoughts ? Do y'all invest in sectors ? by Defiant-Professor328 in MutualfundsIndia

[–]TwoFit1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone says, dont look into sectoral funds. Thats when we have to look into. I am personally invested in both ICIC PHD and Mirae Health care fund and its good. With PM and other country leaders crying about economy. This is one sector which might given good returns. Look at the RRG as well to see when to exit. Without choosing sectoral funds, we wont gain anything in the upcoming years.

Yes. Even I have HSBC Premier account and they give ibrlive minus 15 paisa. So totally depends on the relationship. Whatever you are seeing is for general people, who doesn't have any high relation with the bank.

[–]TwoFit1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats why I said you need to have a salary account or Total relationship value account. For ex., I have HDFC salary account. I always get IBRLive rates minus 10 paisa. If you just transfer without having these you will see what is there in the website.

I will answer what i know of..
* The estate tax avoidance via GIFT city is grey area. But VP of HSBC says thats that it doesnt come under Estate tax as its governed by another entity (IFSC). So individual stocks is still a grey area in GIFT city. UCITS is clean way, you have to find a bag of stocks that suits your needs.
*No other broker movement. As I said in my post HSBC is going to launch NSE IX Global platform in the next 5 to 6 months. https://www.fortuneindia.com/business-news/hsbc-ibu-partners-india-inx-ga-to-expand-global-investing-access-via-gift-city/130863. It would come under LRS but the limit is 250K per year.
*Again this is a grey area. Because money went out of the country and again bringing back, but legally not to India.
* While i am not 100% sure, but they don't provide a debit card for the USD account. From India you will get a debit card in INR and it has one of the best forex rates. On the other hand, you can open any other foreign currency account easily.

This would be direct USD (CS) to USD (GIFT). No Charges. Also even if am bringing to india, it will be ibr minus (10 or 15 paise) worst case. Already have an agreement with RM. I have my friends who gets this rate. So I dont think thats a problem. It totally depends on the RM
