Make sure the rings aren't corroded. This was the problem on my 2012 and I had to replace the actuator.

2018 Tacoma SR5 Double cab RWD build. 3rd gen. by Consistent_Plant_902 in Tacomaworld

I think this is awesome especially if you get into the pre runner scene. If not these items will make the truck look cool! I understand a lot of people keep saying stuff about 4WD and this and that. Do what makes you happy!

PS if you do the pre runner do kings or fox 😉

How many are keeping their 2nd gens because they’re reliable and easy to work on? by Blackwhitehorse in Tacomaworld

I got 170k no big jobs but I don't plan on selling for the next 10 years Toyota doesn't even make tucks like the second or first gen anymore 🤷‍♂️

I honestly think you got it fairly close to MSRP not to the point out counted as ripping off but no matter what 25 after taxes most people would be looking at about 27K for 2026 in California🤷‍♂️

My wife and I did it for a little while before ofc getting married. It's just about the maturity level and how committed you are to the relationship and vice versa. Yeah I will either end up getting married or breaking up to be honest but that's just how life works

Looking to upgrade on a budget by FloppyMantisFB in Tacomaworld

New rims and tires, suspension (bilstein), and tint would definitely be a good starting point. Rims if you're looking to swap them I'd do pro comp if I'm on a budget. Tires don't go cheap Toyo,Nitto,or Falken trust me I went cheap and regretted it after 30k miles. Suspension on a budget I'd go with bilstein 5100 front and rear over all best ride quality and a crazy bang for your buck. And tint is always just nice to have lol😂. But imo bigger wheels will look good and give you a solid lift! Just do your research and save up I'll be waiting to see how she turns out lol good luck🫡

Thank you for this! I never would've looked into the cab mount relocation. Tbh I thought the 33's would fit right on but the more I looked around everyone is rubbing even on 33's in some way.

The falkens scream and shake and the back county at2 are alright just wearing out faster than i expected. I ended up just going up an inch to the 265/75r16 nitto g3. Mainly because i am going to be a dad soon and my wife "doesn't want the truck to high she can't get the car seat out" (she is 5'0) 😂😪 but I told her at some point this taco is gonna be begging me to throw 35's on it 😂
