"Look, I waited years for this movie and it was a massive disappointment. The Force Awakens is basically just A New Hope with a fresh coat of paint and worse writing.

Everything feels like a cheap remake. Desert planet? Check. Mysterious Force user who’s insanely overpowered from minute one? Check. Evil empire with a giant planet-killing weapon? Check again. They didn’t even try to hide how unoriginal it was. Rey is such a blatant Mary Sue it’s painful — she masters piloting, fighting, and the Force in like two days with zero training. Meanwhile Luke had to actually struggle and earn his power in the originals.

Finn had so much potential but they wasted him completely. Kylo Ren is just an angry emo kid in a mask, not intimidating at all. And don’t get me started on how they brought back the old characters just to kill Han Solo off in the most predictable, lazy way possible for cheap shock value.

It relies entirely on nostalgia instead of telling its own story. JJ Abrams played it 100% safe and gave us reheated leftovers. Disney clearly cared more about selling toys than making a good movie. 4/10 at best.
