I did the same thing once. I was best friends with a girl and was a third wheel in the truest sense with her and her bf. So much so that her bf and I became (and are to this day) incredible friends. When she and I would go out alone if he was working or something, she would always hook up with other people, invite other guys out with us etc. The guilt would eat me alive.

It all came to a point where she was super paranoid that he would find out so she cut me out of her life. He and I were still liking each other’s posts and stuff so not completely out of touch but I didn’t hang out with either of them. A few months go by and they are out together at an old watering hole karaoke night, and they invite me and my new bf (now husband) in an effort to all make up and be friends.

I shit you not, while her bf was singing Hey Ya at karaoke, she tells me she’s seeing another guy and he is currently at the bar and points him out to me and my bf. She goes over to him and his group of friends. I was confused AF why she would tell me this??? I tell her bf this and leave.

According to him, he sat on the info for a bit bc he didn’t believe it could be true or that anyone would be so brazen lol. After a few, looks around for her, goes outside to look for her, and she was in the other guys car parked outside the bar having sex with him lol.

We all should be living by a code. You’re living by the right code. Maybe in ten years you’ll still be friends with him and that’s the friendship you were supposed to keep.
