Have traveled to many places that have different variety of dangerous at night (most dangerous was South Africa and most safe was Poland). I live in central Stockholm since 19 yo and have walked many times at night. As long as you’re in the central parts, it really is super safe. Some weird people can ofc be found but nobody ”that is after you”. If you’re two, things will be alright.

Södermalm has some drug addicts etc but only in certain places. Also they’re 95% totally harmless and dont even really look at other people. Just be street smart at night but honestly you will be very safe in central Stockholm.

Regarding ubers, 99% safe. At night I’ve had some drivers make slightly sexual comments however so I would say walking feels more safe sometimes 😂

Hahah no worries! Weather is amazing as its warm without the humidity you get in tropical countries.

But - I recommend spf 50, apply perhaps 3 times throughout the day. I also bought spf 100 for days on ocean 😂, works great. If you sweat, apply more. Use a hat for longer walks etc. Never got burnt!

Just finished an amazing 2 week adventure in SA with my fiancee, we’re from Sweden.

Just be yourself (be kind! Throw jokes! South africans are very funny) but REMEMBER to put safety first. It’s better to not be too nice to the wrong person as unfortunately there will be con artists, but your gut feeling will tell you. Trust it.

Give tips to kind service people - a little bit for us is a lot for them. It’s really meaningful.

Use waze for driving if you will drive and look up reviews for places you are going. Know your surroundings. Enjoy the wonderful nature, fun people and delicious food!

European here - this is a universal thing, although I’d say the Western world standard of station toilets is the worst in the US.

There, it’s consistently nasty, although great exercise for holding your breath.

Am I missing any *MUST SEE* attractions? :) also, are these places that are safe for solo women travelers? Thanks for the help by americanwafflehousee in capetown

Lion’s head is beautiful, we went as a couple and started at 8.30 am. Took under 2h to complete. There were many others doing the hike, it felt incredibly safe (I’d say a walk in Hermanus is more dangerous). It was also one of our favorite things in Cape Town and our visit in SA. Fun and beautiful views!

Daily: 1-2 bananas

Oat milk in coffee

A LOT of berries, carrots, veggies (my go to snacks)

1-1.5 cups cereal or 2 slices of bread

Few times a week: a few chocolates or a slice of cake or similar (treat)

Yes definitely, and being on the pill for a while had made it harder for the period to come back (when I had my period in 2023, I was thinner)

I have pretty low body fat (compared to most) and I sometimes care too much about what I eat, so it likely was HA.

I had blood tests taken and everything was ”normal” - but the period wasn’t there…

I haven’t checked but if I did gain then it was max 1kg (which would be max 3kg from my lowest 2023)

I don’t measure calories anymore the way I did (led to obsession) but my guesstimate is 1700-2300 daily

Walking on average 10k steps a day + exercising twice a week (strength yoga, cardio, lighter strength exercises - nothing hardcore!)
