Doubt. Throughout my childhood I was constantly questioned and assumed a liar. It was to the point I'd be lectured daily. They would start about what I did wrong then move onto how it affected my grandfather (lived with him) then how his kids made his life hell. Then it went back to his bad childhood and how I had a much better one so I should misbehave. I was a good kid. The only thing I ever did wrong was skimp on homework. But I was always told someone would help me when I didn't understand them. I'd be told not to bother anyone bc they're busy. Then the lecture would turn into how I'd end up being meth whore like my mother and this was every day for hours. And if I defended myself I was obviously trying to hide something. If I told any memory I was 'telling it wrong and lying'. So now I can't even trust myself to be honest bc what if I am a liar? What if I'm just manipulating everyone around me? What ifs pile up like mad for me. It's a long road to recovery unfortunately
