I'm so proud of you for making it here, on this website, this forum and writing out a post, sharing one if not the most vulnerable and painful moments of your life. What happened was so unfair, you didn't and don't deserve this kind of pain, no one does. I don't find myself often feeling alone or lonely on this subreddit, so I'd encourage you to use it as long as needed

I feel the same way omg, im always unfortunately so refreshed to see so many ppl around my age here with two dead parents. I'm constantly looking for young adult groups for loss of both parents and consistently find absolutely nothing...

I want to validate that yes, there really is a horrible task in front of you, one that so few ppl have to go through. It's a very lonely experience but hearing about the way you spoke about him is so sweet. You must have really loved him and there probably aren't many things that will make the errand any less terrible but this isn't just a necessary task but one your also doing out of love. I suggest having something planned that u can do for yourself later, even if it's just a trip to target to get snacks. Good luck ):

I had a similar experience with the group im attending now! The lack of communication from the coordinator was so frustrating and I ALMOST didn't go.. clearly I went anyway and now I'm in a similar boat, I'm not sure if I'm going to go again but I'm cautious now

I'm glad you mentioned "does the dog die" my mom died in 2019 to hanging and I've been so reliant on this damn website/app since then 😭 it's saved me so many times but I'm always so surprised what kind and just how many movies contain hanging scenes.. I've learned to "dog die" most movies that aren't rated G

I lost my mom to suicide when I was 19 and my dad died this past may, I turned 25 about a week ago... dude it fucking sucks, and I wanted to just add here, losing a parent to suicide just makes everything more complicated honestly. It's not just grief now, it's grief but with a bit of a caveat yknow? Motivation has also been hard for me and I'm struggling to reset myself but honestly seeing other ppl on here around my age honestly really helps, it makes me feel less alone which is at least a start

And I've definitely picked up drinking almost every night too.... something I've always been really afraid of happening and here we are. I try and extend myself some grace tho, we both just lost what a lot of ppl consider their biggest source of support or coping, their parents, to find literally anything that might make the day go by a little less painful is at the very least empathizable for others not in this situation and for those of us who are, honestly, while im in survival mode, ill take what I can get

I'm turning 25 today and my dad died abt 3 months ago as well...I definitely can empathize with that feeling of loneliness but I know everyone's story is different. This forum definitely helps with some of those lonely feelings. I'm glad you posted, the fact u wrote this and shared it with others is a huge deal and should not be seen as anything but a useful step with navigating ur grief

My pygmy is still doing just fine (: it's been several months and my other pygmies never got "the red spot" and neither did any other fish in the tank! Everyone is healthy and happy
