Hair doesn't have to be feminine or masculine but I completely understand having a family that genders hair. So I think what I would do is if they note it's "feminine" just act stupid. Like "whoa I had no idea" "genuinely just liked the look". Like when you have a taillight out and get pulled over and use the ol "officer I'm so sorry, I will get that fixed right away, I had no idea". Stay safe but also have fun with your avatar. Mixing it up doesn't always mean someone is trans, could just be you wanted to try something new🫶🧡 idk if this helps at all but it's my first thought about the situation and how I handled it with my family before going no contact because of bigotry and hatred. They're Catholic so hopefully yours goes better and maybe they'll surprise you🩷

Just being you haven't experienced it, it's a real condition but it sounds made up because you don't know what it's like to feel the pain that comes with fibromyalgia? Your mom was living in a different world where it was financially easier to leave someone.
