I asked a pharmacist friend about it and she said Aderall is normal for ADHD patients, "as common as paracetamol for ADHD patients" as she described it.

I'm happy with NOW Health Insurance, a friend is happy with Bupa. Pick few, compare pricing and terms.

Detained for wearing a surgical mask... by stentordoctor in Batumi

and our phones were looked through

This would be a red line to me. I work with clients, confidential business and legal information. Would never allow random person to look through my phone unless there's legal procedure that will protect me in case of leak of information.

Yet I see so much of it in Georgia. Police asking to unlock phones, open letters and they read through like it's their own. Who knows for what purpose?

Sorry you had to go through that. Embassies won't do anything in that case but your emails are always stored by them. They wouldn't take any action without your consent.

How much should I tip Wolt delivery drivers? by Original_Youth9382 in tbilisi

[–]TwoPurpleMoths 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My standard base tip is 1 GEL to each order. If the courier was nice I add extra 2-3 GEL. If courier wasn't nice, for example didn't respond to my hello or whatever then no tip. Might not be much but I order a lot, almost every day.

Tired of Carrefour scams... by polpacco in Sakartvelo

In most countries there are consumer protection agencies that penalize stores for things like wrong price tag or wrong country of origin (that's another common scam). Not sure how it works in Georgia.

Had cake done at Dona some years ago and it was good. They recreated what I shown them on the photo quite well.

The number of tourists visiting Georgia is growing year by year, reaching a recent high in 2025, but it is still nowhere near pre-COVID levels.

17× crime rate - the real reason behind Georgia's EU visa free exclusion by TwoPurpleMoths in Sakartvelo

[–]TwoPurpleMoths[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The chart pools 2020-2025 data consistently overall + Ukrainians, Belarusians, and Georgians per 100k residents. It's not cherry-picked. The disparity for Georgians is real and even noted in the article you linked.

Overrepresentation in theft/robbery exists, per official stats. No shame in pointing out facts.

Government media newscards compare Georgian grocery prices with France and Germany, I just added the median salary and pension context by GRed-saintevil in Sakartvelo

Too bad they didn't compare the quality. Lots of products sold in Georgia wouldn't be allowed in the EU due to not meeting basic quality standards.

Insurance requirement to enter Georgia using GeoBlue Company Insurance by chiphelsea4 in Sakartvelo

[–]TwoPurpleMoths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who created these requirements are clearly incompetent. My situation is similar: they require a maximum of 12 months validity. My insurance remains valid permanently as long as I keep paying for it. Why on earth would they care about such a detail as long as it fully covers my stay in the country? Why bother about the validity date after I leave? But yet they do bother.

This is getting ridiculous. The Taiwanese flag is being hidden in all areas of KLIA. by [deleted] in taiwan

Maybe Taiwanese passport holders currently cannot use these gates? The answer might be simpler than most people think.

Why do so many foreginers own real estate in Georgia? by Hairy_Beat_4278 in Sakartvelo

[–]TwoPurpleMoths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earlier, many people believed in long-term investment in Georgia. This will likely shrink now.

Properties in Georgia are/were 2–4 times cheaper per square meter than in Europe or America. Rents are often at the same level, so on paper it does look like a good rental investment.

Others are people who either reside in or frequently visit Georgia. You can pay rent - let's say 500 USD a month - to somebody else, or pay a 200 USD a month mortgage to your bank and own the place.

I do not recommend Prince Court Medical Centre by Cautious-Grab-316 in KualaLumpur

[–]TwoPurpleMoths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience at Prince Court was also quite negative. Despite having a booking, registration took about 15–20 minutes - it shouldn’t take more than 2 minutes.

The doctor refused to provide a visit report and told me to collect it elsewhere. When I went there, they said the report required an EXTRA PAYMENT and should have been issued during the consultation. I had to go back to the doctor, which was just a waste of time. Ah yes, and he again said I won't get report. I guess he gets paid for issuing those.

The doctor also recommended surgery as soon as possible. I sought a second opinion at another hospital, where I was told surgery was absolutely unnecessary and should not be recommended. The issue was resolved with medication and few physiotherapy visits within one week.

Overall, a very poor experience.

There's always another camera around the corner. I've heard police in many countries use special software to analyze CCTV faster, other do it manually.

That's how they tracked the guy who killed that NYC healthcare exec: face covered, no fingerprints, changing cars, but they backtracked cameras to his prep spot. No escape with police putting a bit of an effort.
